"Well that wasn't so bad... Umm, thank-you. I think I'm fine for now. I'll make sure to visit though!" Aileana's awkward smile flashed for Powerflux as she made her way out of the training room, backtracking and setting out for Rycroft's office. Her very first job! This all seemed so very promising...
Just before getting out of the room, she heard her result on the test: a fine score of 85. Aileana thought it mediocre, comparing it instantly to underpowered characters in several different games and whatnot, but then realized these, just like her test scores, were, in some way, viable.
With an accomplished look on her face, she set out to meet the world! Or Rycroft, whichever came first.

Introduction: Welcome to the Former Glory Hydra tutorial. Here you will learn everything you need to know about the role play. You will start off by role playing out your character finding their teacher, walking over to her and talking to her. You will have your character introduce them self, and then let your teacher know that you are ready to start your training. If you have any questions about anything, don't be afraid to ask your teacher about it to get a better understanding. Although you are role playing in character, you will be learning a lot of things out of character. Sometimes NPCs or other players will have a long wall of text, instead of having your character stand silent through the whole thing, post as if they had had a back and forth conversation, and that they had responded to what the other person was saying all along. -------------------------------------------------
Hydra corp is mostly an all white building, like a hospital or a lab. It is very clean and smells like disinfectant. There are a few plain black leather chairs, dark wood or glass coffee tables, and a few clusters of plants decorating the room. The walls are completely bare with no art or marks on them, and the floor matches it with it's plain white tile floors. The farther you walk into the building, the plainer it gets. A few other new students are in the room, talking to one another or with their teachers. Others were more advanced students that were lounging around and watching the new students. Not too far away you spot Glory standing by the wall, waiting for you to start your training. Her arms are crossed and her face a mask- literally, showing no emotion or facial expressions. She notices you standing there and turns her attention to you, but doesn't make any motions to come towards you.

Jared stood in the middle of the hallway, his eyes moved slowly from the empty white floor to the throng of students that sauntered past him. And within the many folds of people, one stood out from the others -her yellow boots, vigil pose then procelain mask; emotionless, cold and ever watchful ...
The S.T.A has been his home for a long time, more than he bothered to remember for that moment, long years maybe. It's white walls were farmiliar and the pungent odour of pine oil (an economic antimircrobial) had long saturated his nostrils, but Jared still had that numbness about him from his first day.
A black shirt, worn loosse fitting jeans and a belt with an iron buckle was pretty much his wardrobe these past months. But knowing that today was going to be a little different, he donned a dark brown trenchcoat just for formalities and for his hands to rest on.
Slowly, he approached her. The posterchild of vigilante heroes everywhere. A true crimefighter. Glory. Yet ...
"Morning Glory." Jared greeted -It was his way of trying to peel off that mask, to see the person behind it. Maybe make her laugh, prove that she isn't some cyborg Hydra Corp built.

((Since you requested I'll cut down on some of the "Basics of living" and move on to the next part...))
1. The basics of living.
Glory nodded her head at Jared. "Morning, Jared. Let's not waste any time and get started. The first thing you need to learn is that talking and interacting with other people is the most important part of the job, so make sure that you try interact with as many people as possible to share and gain more information about what is going on in the city." Glory places her hands behind her back and begins to pace back and forth. "Alright, for the most part I think you understand the basics. Let's move on to learning about your storage bag, how to add and subtract your money, and how to purchase items from the shops. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me about it now. If not, follow me to the next training room." Glory waves her hand to get Jared to follow her.
2. Item storage and buying supplies.
Glory walked out of the room and into the next one. The next room they walked into was similar to the last one, except there was a counter up against the far wall with items lining it from top to bottom. A young woman was behind the counter, running the small store within the building.
Glory stopped walking and turned to face Jared. "Here is where we will practice buying items. At the bottom of one of your post inside of your signature is a quick link that will take you to your item storage page. Near the top of your storage page will be your money, you will start off with $1000 to use on whatever you want, but I will give you 50 extra dollars for your training. You may have noticed that within everyone's bag is a ID card, these cards will be used not only as an identification card for people to find out who you are, but also as a credit card, and a work ID all rolled into one. Your task will be to purchase two VBS Stimpacks from the store clerk over there." Glory points at the store Clerk behind the counter.
"You will first walk over and greet the NPC, telling her what you would like to buy, and then handing her your ID card so that she can scan it.You will then wait for the NPC to post a reply and give you the items you asked for. If the NPC does not give a confirmation post that you bought the item, then you cannot add it to your bag. Once you have the items in your bag you will make a final response acknowledging that you took the items. At the very bottom of your final post type: ((Subtracting $50 from bag, and adding VBS items.)) in bold letters to let the other players and Admin know that you edited your item storage and money already. Make sure to actually edit your items and money, and not just say so in your post, because if you post the message that you edited your items without actually doing it, then the Admin will give you a warning for it.
Alright, I hope that's not too Confusing. After you are done buying the items return to me to move on to your next task."
Whilst Glory paced back and forth, explaining to him how to interact with people. Jared nodded every so often, even though it was something most people in Osiris city already knew how to do -many of the STA students had been living here since young and had barely any communication to the outside world. He knew she was just making sure that they were prepared for Society once they left the academy.
Professional as always, he mused to himself as he watched her back, remembering that Hydra Corp once said that Glory used to be more of a Getting-the-job-done kind of person compared to the teacher she is today.
"If not, follow me to the next training room."
"Right". And he followed her unhurriedly behind.
Upon reaching the next room, Glory asked him to use his I.D card to purchase something from the store clerk.
"This thing?" Jared asked as he examined the slim silver card in between his fingers, he never knew it could be used for buying. So far it had been an effective talisman to be used against door guards, but now it seems it had a new function.
Jared smiled slightly to himself and made his way to the counter, approaching the female staff housed there. He looked over the assortment of items behind the clerk that were shelved in a see-through cabinet, "Two Vita-Boost Serum Stimpacks. ...And a P99 Classic Pistol, if you have any." Glory's task was to get two VBS, she didn't say anything about not getting something else that might come in useful later. He was curious to see if the store had something like that.
Jared gave a wry smile and his I.D Card to the clerk, noticing the glasses she had on and the shirt she was wearing while he stood there waiting for the transaction.

((Quit staring at the lady's chest! No, I kid, I kid. ;D))
The store clerk blushed at his stare and nodded her head. "Hello," she said in a cheerful greeting. She stopped to listen as he asked for the Stimpack, taking a quick glance behind her to find the items on the wall. "Sure, I'll get the Stimpack for you right away. But the gun is off limits. I don't carry weapons here, you'll have to ask Armory Jeannette for that. The stimpacks will be $25 for one and $50 for two, please." The Clerk turned around and reached up on the wall, taking the Stimpacks down and placing them on the counter for him. She then picked up the ID card and slid it through the scanner. "Thank you, come again." She said with a smile while handing the ID card and Stimpacks over to him. Even is she did have guns, she wouldn't have handed them over. Some of the students had tried using them on her in the past...

(( P.S My internet kind of gave way on me there.))
"That's unfortunate."
Jared nodded appreciation with that same wry smile to the store clerk, accepting the two packetted syringes with one hand and storing them in his pockets.
Taking back his I.D card, he walked over to Glory, having completed his mission -as menial as he found it. Though slightly disappointed that he could not get the head start he wanted, the two vials would still prove more than useful in the future.
"C'mon Glory, you've got to give me easier missions next time."
((Subtracting $50 from bag, and adding VBS items.))
((I know how you feel. Mine has been doing the same thing. ))
3. Using skills for life.
He could tell Glory was smiling by how cheerful her voice sounded. "Good job. And that can be arranged. Your next task should be quite fun. For now just hold on to the items, we'll teach you how to use them in a little while. But first your next task awaits you. You will be learning how to use skills and abilities. Everyone will start with the basic "Search" and "subdue" skills. Your task will be to find the hidden guard in the room with your first post, wait for the Admin to tell you that you have spotted him, and then subdue the guard with your next post. You will have to roll by using the roll dice generator located on the left sidebar.
"You will have to roll a 50 or higher for a successful roll, 49 or lower will be a fail. If you have certain combat skills then you will have a greater chance of subdueing your opponent. And if you have the observation skill then it will add a bonus for finding your opponent or locating a certain item. If you fail with the search skill you cannot roll again within the same post. You will have to wait for me or the NPC to respond before trying again. When using the skills out on your own you will have to wait for another player or NPC (Admin) to post, before posting your own message again. So keep in mind that failing when using a skill can be a very dangerous thing when out in the real world. Oh yeah, you will also have to use double parrenthesees at the top of your post to let everyone know what you rolled on the dice log. For some rare cases you can put this in the center of your post just before you actually use the skill, just so that it is easier to locate. When you use a skill it will look something like this:"
((Search/Observation skill: rolled a 59+1=60. Success!))
"You may have noticed that +1 in there. The +1 comes from having a (1/20) stat bonus from the observation skill. If you don't have Observation don't worry about it, you will still have a pretty high chance for succeeding. But this concept works for all skill and ability rolls, including your super powers, so there is really no reason for you to ever have to buy a weapon if you have a +20 attack bonus for when using super powered attacks.
"If you go and open your item storage bag, you will now see that all your skills now have a (0/20) stat counter by it. For every time you succuesfully use a skill that is in your ability list, you will have to add 1 point to the stat counter until it maxes out at (20/20). You will get a roll bonus for whatever your stat counter is, so if you have a (5/20) stat counter for a skill, then you will add +5 to your roll. Understand? Alright, give it a try. If you don't understand, I'll be right over here, so don't be afraid to ask away. Oh yeah, before you use the skill read this: HERE. Alright, good luck!" Glory steps to the side to observe your performance. Crossing her arms over her chest and leaning up agaisnt the wall as she watches you.
Within the room they were standing in, other then the store counter that had the young woman behind it, was a cluster of plants in each corner of the room, a plain white couch, some plain chairs lining the walls for students to sit in, and a few coffee tables with some magazines on them...
Jared walked to the center of the room, he had seen this place one too many times and with the exception of the store clerk there didn't seem anything out of the ordinary.
When all was quiet and Glory watched on the side silently, Jared began to feel someone's pressence. As she said, there was definitely someone in this room besides the three of them. He calmly glanced sideways, not turning much -in case the guard was right in front of him. He did not want to give away where he looked, to everyone else it looked like he simply stood there for a long moment.
((Search / Observation skill, rolled a 77! Success!!)
((*Adding 1 to Observation skill.))
There was someone else watching indeed, he could feel another pair of eyes on him. A gut instinct, a strong gut instinct and Jared choose it over his logic.
"I command thee to ..."
Suddenly, he spun on his heel, trenchcoat flustering in the wind behind him, and raised his right hand to point at a vague silhouette judgementally.
"SHOW thineself!" Jared declared in a booming voice, to startle the prepetrator even if he wasn't there which may jolt him out of wherever he hid.
