The store clerk smiled and nodded her head. "Hello. I'm doing fine, thank you." she said in a cheerful greeting. She stopped to listen as Aileana asked for the Stimpack, taking a quick glance behind her to find it on the wall. "Sure, I'll get the Stimpack for you right away. That will be $25 for one and $50 for two, please." The Clerk turns around and reaches up on the wall, taking the Stimpack down and placing it on the counter for her. She then picked up the ID card and slid it through the scanner. "Thank you, come again." She said with a smile while handing the ID card and Stimpacks over the counter. ((IMPORTANT NOTE: More money will be added to your ID card every saturday in real life time. As long as you do your job, you will get paid for it.))

"Perfect, thank-you." A grin could be seen on Aileana's face. For no real reason, this felt like a great accomplishment! It was far from a raid, or taking down a server for a few hours, but talking to people maybe wasn't all that bad. Maybe there was something fun in there, too...
The groggy gait of the young woman had her sauntering to Glory. With a look of determination on her face, and a plastic bag on her hands, she proceeded. "Here we are-- what are these for anyhow?"
((Subtracting $50 from bag, and adding VBS Stimpack x 2))
((In another note, there's this weird line that gets pasted whenever I copy anything from the site-- is it on purpose?))
((Weird line? Is it like a string of text with a URL link connected to it? If so I think I can edit that some where...))
3. Using skills for life.
Glory nodded her head in greeting, you can tell she is smiling by how cheerful her voice sounds. "Welcome back. I see you have the Stimpacks with you, good job."
When she asked what they were for Glory gave a small chuckle. "For now just hold on to the items, we'll teach you how to use them in a little while. But first your next task awaits you. You will be learning how to use skills and abilities. All players will start with the basic "Search" and "subdue" skills. Your task will be to find the hidden guard in the room with your first post, wait for the Admin to tell you that you have spotted him, and then subdue the guard with your next post. You will have to roll by using the roll dice generator located on the left sidebar. You will have to roll a 50 or higher for a successful roll, 49 or lower will be a fail.
"If you have certain combat skills then you will have a greater chance of subdueing your opponent. And if you have the observation skill then it will add a bonus for finding your opponent or locating a certain item. If you fail with the search skill you cannot roll again within the same post. You will have to wait for me or the NPC to respond before trying again. When using the skills out on your own you will have to wait for another player or NPC (Admin) to post before posting your own message again. So keep in mind that failing when using a skill can be a very dangerous thing when out in the real world. Oh yeah, you will also have to use double parrenthesees at the top of your post to let everyone know what you rolled on the dice log. For some rare cases you can put this in the center of your post just before you actually use the skill, just so that it is easier to locate. When you use a skill it will look something like this:"
((Search/Observation skill: rolled a 59+1=60. Success!))
"You may have noticed that +1 in there. The +1 comes from having a (1/20) stat bonus from the observation skill. If you don't have Observation don't worry about it, you will still have a pretty high chance for succeeding. But this concept works for all skill and ability rolls, including your super powers, so there is really no reason for you to ever have to buy a weapon with a +20 attack bonus for when using super powered attacks..." Glory remembered that Aileana didn't have any attacking powers yet. She had paused a bit when she realized it, but kept going. Maybe the girl will unlock some new talents as she progresses...
She cleared her throat as she went on. "Ahem, anyways... If you go and open your item storage bag, you will now see that all your skills now have a (0/20) stat counter by it. For every time you succuesfully use a skill that is in your ability list, you will have to add 1 point to the stat counter until it maxes out at (20/20). You will get a roll bonus for whatever your stat counter is, so if you have a (5/20) stat counter for a skill, then you will add +5 to your roll. Understand? Alright, give it a try. If you don't understand, I'll be right over here, so don't be afraid to ask away. Oh yeah, before you use the skill read this: HERE. Alright, good luck!" Glory stepped to the side to observe Aileana's performance. Crossing her arms over her chest and leaning up agaisnt the wall as she watched her.
Aileana took heed of Glory's words, nodding accordingly and only interrupting once to quiver awkwardly for a second or two. A yawn proceeded her teacher's speech, and she set out to find the guard. Determined, her eyes scanned the room thoroughly: a box? A wall? No, those weren't it. Hey was that a can of Gnasher? No, that's not a guard either.
And no matter what way she scouted the room, or how much she paced back and forth and lifted all the little things, she could not find him for the life of her.
((Search skill: 1d100 >= 50, 34 ... failure))
"I don't mean to be rude, but this man is most elusive. May I have a hint as to his whereabouts?" her question was asked in a disconcerted voice, as if lost.
((Aye, I know what that is. I've seen it before while making the site but I never paid much attention to it. Proboards uses it to supposedly "Bring more members to your site", by putting the link on any copied and pasted text. I can see how this can become annoying. I think I shall remove it...))
You look around the room, but you don't see anything out of place. The only people you see in the room is yourself and your teacher. Glory speaks up, noticing that you can't find anything. "Don't see anything? Well, try again and take a closer look. I can assure you that someone else is in the room with us. How do I know? Because I'm looking at them right now... I can't give you any more hints, that would be cheating. Give it another go."
((And the pic is empty, but I can assure there are people and things in the room. ;D))
((It is indeed, VERY annoying. I copied the traits and other things to Word when refurbishing my profile...))
"Well okay. I will find this ninja, and bring him to justice!" Looking at him now... Aileana bowed and followed Glory's sight, walking along a path she made in her own mind, making sure to check that can of Gnasher for a drink first. Sadly, it was empty.
Her scan lead her to a white wall with... A white painting on it? ((Search skill: 1d100 >= 50, 55 ... success)) "Well paintings certainly aren't 3D anyway. Now what was I supposed to..."
A metaphorical light bulb turned on. Excited, Aileana returned to her teacher and whispered. "Is it the ugly 3D painting over the wall?"
The guard that was trying to hide from Aileana was camouflaged, using some of Hydra tech to bend the light to blend in with the rest of the room. When she noticed the out of place wall he jumped a bit, causing the device to glitch and turn off for a split second. Now that she had actually looked for him, and she had now spotted him, it was quite obvious that he stood out clearly and was quite obvious. The guard noticed that she was looking right at him, and decided to make a run for it. "You'll never take me alive!" He exclaimed in a over the top voice as he attempted to escape the room. Glory only watched on without speaking a word...
Her scream was alarming, much like when you step on a cat's tail. When the guard came into vision, needless to say she was taken by surprise. He began to make a run for it with an exaggerated getaway phrase.
The immediate reflex was to go after him-- but for what? I'm supposed to... Blow him up in pieces? No, subdue! Yes, subdue! I shall subdue this ruinous villain.
Doing her best impression of a guard from 'Knights of the Round Table IV', she shouted back whilst pursuing. "STOP! You've violated the law!"
A giggle escaped her as she proceeded, "SUBDUE!" Yelling at the top of her lungs, she then lunged towards him when the distance was closed...
((Subdue skill: 1d100 >= 50, 61 ... success)) "Mine!" Playful, Aileana cheered for herself as the lunge met its target, pinning him to the ground. "How'd I do?" She shouted to her teacher.
"Alright, I give up. you got me!" the guard yelled while being subdued. Glory walked over while clapping her hands and chuckling. "Well done, Aileana. You found and subdued Kenny with very little difficulty. I must admit, that was fun to watch. If you used this skill against a real opponet you would first have to get their Health points down to about 40 HP before being able to subdue them. And even if you get their life low it doesn't always mean the skill will work.
"Since you now understand how to use your skills, let's move on to your next training exercise: Combat. Come on," Glory waves a hand to the door for Aileana to follow her. "Kenny, you can go back to hiding for the next student. We'll see you later." Kenny the guard nodded his head and crawled back on his hands and knees behind some plants, while Glory walked out of the room and into the next one.
((I saw that failure in the dice log! This is the Tutorial so it doesn't matter, but in the future doing that will get you a warning. Keep that in mind for fighting NPCs, other players, or looking for a item or person by using your skills. The "Mystery" part of the role play and the combat both rely on this system, so every roll you make is very important to the progress of the story.))

You walk into a training dojo. Blue mats line the floor to help absorb the impact of when you hit, and a few more line the walls in case you are thrown into them. Other then that the room is completely empty of items in the room. Advanced students that have already passed all of their training tests are up agaisnt the wall, a few are smiling or snickering, but all eyes were now on you. A man with a blue hoody, silver goggles, and a fake mustache nods his head to you in greeting.
