The main closed off lobby of the former Hydra corp building. Hydra corp was one of the most confusing buildings on the planet. The facility takes up several blocks on the street, so walking on foot and trying to guess your way around is impossible. There are 10 floors, and hundreds of rooms scattered around in odd places.
The building is now converted to be used by the police force, however a few of the old rooms and offices have been blocked off and locked to preserve the original crime scene as much as possible, since the Hydra Corp massacre is still an on going case. As a result, only a small portion of the building is used by the OPD.

((Spell check changed it to "female definition"... da fudge... ))
Naida awoke inside the vita-tank just as the liquid began to slowly drain out of the tank. Everything was a tint of blue as her eyes adjusted. Another female scientist opened the tank and began to assist her in unhooking all of the breathing and life support apparatus from her. Naida stretched as she stepped out and took a look around. "Hmph, normally Stephen is here to assist me. Have they began to evacuate? How bad is it out there?" Naida inquired.
The scientist shook her head. "Not that I know of. Right now or agents are focused on holding the line at the police station to give support and tending to the wounded that were hurt. I'm sorry, but I don't know more than that. I've been treating the other field Sensitives that were injured that's been here. We're spread thin as it is, most have gone back out on the field once they were fit. I don't approve, but I assume Jeannette wants you to do the same. She asked to see you when you were able to walk." She finished.
"understood. I'm on my way." Naida nodded her head and grabbed her gear, putting her combat suit half on and tying the arm sleeves around her waist as she left the room to find Jeannette.
Finding the Cataloger wasn't hard, she was in the main hall by her desk like always, but this time the halls were busy with people running all over the place; Jeannette was barking orders and pointing fingers. As soon as she saw Naida she pulled her earpiece out to speak.
"Baris! I know we're not on the best of terms, but I'm glad you're alright. Rycroft made a deal with a rogue Sensitive and sent a team to District Zero. We've got a huge mess on our hands. I need your help cleaning it up." Jeannette explained.
Naida looked confused but nodded her head. "Fine, but what happened? We lost communications and were all but abandon in the tunnels."
Jeannette nodded her head. "That wasn't my call. Rycroft told everyone to pull out. I ordered the team to keep pushing forward and finish the mission, but apparently the Aces were tipped to our presence and blew the tunnels anyways. I tried to send a rescue team but the power went out and the roads were blocked. I know... we screwed up.. I can fix it all though, I just need your assistance. I don't have time to go in all the details now. Will you help?"
Naida let off a sigh, she hated being left out of the loop, but she saw the situation was serious. "I'll help, I just have one important question."
"What?"
"Is my brother alright? I really need to see him..."
"He is... fine... I'll let you see him when you return. First, we need to gain control of the city. Then I will take you to him myself. He is safe..." She promised.
Naida nodded once more. "What do you need me to do?"
"We have agents at the police station holding the line, one of the clones, an IRA unit is there now on the roof as a sniper and look out, she says that they are about to be overrun. I need you on the scene to assist, but I will warn you that you will be out numbered and overpowered. Don't worry though, more clones will be there to assist you. I'll have some VBS packs ready for you. Can you leave in ten minutes?"
Naida looked shocked, she had literally just woke up. "Is it that bad?"
"You'll see, it's bad..." Jeannette said with a grim look on her face.

Jeannette ordered one of the workers running by to get Naida some supplies to go, then began to fill the young Sensitive in on what was going on. "I don't know how to explain and we don't have time... we had another research facility to the south where we were conducting experiments, things went wrong and a virus went airborne, it is a combination of the three VB serums that gets in your system. The wall to District Zero fell, and well... things got worse. In short, the virus causes the infected to go into a enhanced state of rage and they attack anyone on sight. You can spot them by their yellow eyes. The infected are currently flooding the police station, use your gun and keep a distance, I will get you ammo and other supplies, maybe a sniper rifle as well. Use violent force and shoot to kill, because they will surely kill you. If they get close, try to keep your distance and run! You won't get another chance! You aren't strong enough to go toe to toe with them. Arctic Butterfly can't assist you this time, we need her here for her healing abilities. After we get the police secure, we will use them to help restore order to the rest of the city. I will send additional units to your location as soon as we have them." she finished.
Naida just stared with a look of confusion on her face, then nodded her head. The young Sensitive did not piece together that the TOZ effect and the virus that Jeannette spoke of were one and the same. She had so many questions, but so much was happening at once she didn't have time.
The agent returned with two other Hydra employees holding metal boxes, they opened them up to reveal the equipment that Jeannette had requested. Naida took the supplies and placed them in her bag. She also put her mask back on and properly adjusted her suit and zipped it up fully.
"How do I get there?" Naida asked.
"We'll drop you off by helicopter onto the roof of the station, IRA will be waiting for you to fill you in on the details. We've lost communication with her recently, but we have reason to believe she is still alive. If she is dead, send us a message. We had your radio in your mask fixed and replaced the batteries in your flashlight, your other electronic gear was beyond repair due to water damage."
"It's not a problem... I'm just glad to have gotten out alive... How is Penelope doing? She saved my life back in the tunnels... I owe her one... She really helped a lot back there." Naida said.
Jeannette nodded her agreement. "She's tough, she pulled through. She is resting now, but she'll be fine. But the Aces are the least of our trouble now, so don't worry about that anymore." She placed the earpiece back and looked up at the ceiling.
"My other half just sent me a message saying that your ride is here. Get a move on kid. The city needs saving..."
"Yes ma'am!" Naida confirmed as she jogged to the elevator to ride up. The researve backup power was currently on and the lights were dim and limited, but the lift still worked to take her to the top. She loaded the sniper rifle with one of the boxes of ammo and checked the parts, then climbed into the back of the helicopter and strapped in for the ride...

Wavelink tried her best to send her thoughts through. 'Things aren't good, the roads are blocked and the Consumers backed us into a corner. We're held up but I'm sure we can pull through. We took some injuries though. Thank God you made it out alive, I was really worried... After everything we've been through, all the ups and downs... I can say I feel the same. In case things go south, I love you too. You've done a lot for me and my siblings and the city. We owe you our lives. I don't think we could have made it this far without you. We'll keep fighting and try to find a safe way out... I'll find a way to contact you when we do... Good luck!'
She wasn't sure how much of her message went through, but those were the thoughts that ran through her head as she attempted to make contact.
As Omen approached the Hydra building the guards station at the main doors raised their weapons. "Halt!" They called as the watched the figure approach, then lowered their weapons.
"Is that... Oh my god.... Carry on!" They waved him through and held the doors open for him to proceed. The busy halls all stopped for a second to watch the newcomer walk through the doors. Jeannette was barking orders to the other agents, then stopped and stared in awe. The room then broke into a chorus of cheers as they saw the original Glory was recovered a live.
"I can't believe you accomplished the mission... Someone quickly recover Glory and subdue her to ensure she doesn't escape! Run all the tests you can to learn about the final stage of infection." Jeannette directed. The agents did as they were told and gently took Glory from Bernard's hands to bring her to the laboratories to properly secure her.
Jeannette then turned back to Bernard. "The city is still in chaos, but with N.O.E.R back online we should regain control quickly. We will send reinforcements into District Zero as soon as they secure the Government District and help the civilians, right now that is our main priority. We are grateful that you helped us, the entire city appreciates your efforts. I'm not sure how we can repay you. I'm sure you would like to speak with Rycroft, yes? I'm sure he would personally like to thank you to give you a proper reward."
A few of the clones and agents walked by with "Way to go, man!" Or "Nice job!" as they cheered him on.
((Battle over! Bernard has gained: +5 SP: Beating the Legend, +20 EXP: Surviving the belly of the best, +2 Karma: Thinking outside the box. +1 to focus. Bernard may choose to keep any of Glory's items that she had on person.))

+5 SP: Beating the Legend, +20 EXP: Surviving the belly of the best, +2 Karma: Thinking outside the box. +1 to focus. ----
The room had broke into a chorus of cheers as they saw the original Glory was recovered a live. A few of the clones and agents walked by with "Way to go, man!" Or "Nice job!" as they cheered him on. With the praise came a sudden euphoric feeling he had not felt since his college glory days leading the Bulldogs to its first National Championship.
”….I'm sure you would like to speak with Rycroft, yes? I'm sure he would personally like to thank you to give you a proper reward."
He would have to admit, the warm acclamation was not the welcome he had expected. At least not from the blonde agent in charge. It troubled him that it could be some time before any resources would be routed toward Distict Zero. In his current condition there was little he could do should he venture back out into the field. The red head considered revealing that the N.O.E.R . scientists were still making their way out of the District but was unsure whether such information would help or hinder his companions in the hands of Jeanette. He had to believe Maio and the others would make it out alive. If she did, she would find him. Given the circumstances, he may not get a better chance to wander Hydra’s halls.
”I would like to accompany Glory to the lab and see this through to end if you don’t mind.” Bernard interjected as the agents prepared to escort the costumed heroine away.” You can have Rycroft meet me there if he wishes to converse.”
If there was no objections Bernard would proceed to follow the agents to their destination.

Jeannette frowned and looked a bit annoyed. She raised a hand to stop the scientists and agents that were escorting Glory away. "That won't be a problem... Take her to lab one... She has a guest joining her." She looked down at the tablet in her hands and pressed a few buttons before looking up again.
The agents stopped and looked a bit confused. They were heading towards the elevator to the east, but at the new request they instead turned and began walking down one of the long hallways to the north and proceeded to enter one of the common labs. The guards waved them through and opened the door for them.
Jeannette looked back to Bernard. "My name is Jeannette, most call me 'The Cataloger'. I will accompany you and relay your message to Rycroft. Were there many casualties? You are the only one that returned? How badly damaged was the basement lab?" She questioned as they walked down the halls to join Glory in the lab. She stopped and gave a slight smile at Bernard.
"I'm sorry for all the questions... You must be hungry, yes? We can provide food. I'm sure the last few days have been hard for you..." She said as she stepped to the side of the room to allow Bernard to look around.
The lab was similar to the one Bernard had seen during his first initiation, but the large box they had walked in from his training days had been replaced with a large slab with restraints for the arms, legs and necks. The walls were not the pristine white walls from the halls, instead they looked to be metallic and had black circular objects protruding from them, spaced out about a foot or so apart and spreading out across the entire room.
Computers were lined up against the walls and scientists were working, the room also had heavily armed agents standing guard. The agents removed Glory's mask and stripped off her costume, underneath she wore a simple black sports bra and matching shorts. They then fastened her to the slab and connected adhesive pads to monitor her vital signs. Others prepared power blocks and other serums inside syringes.

---- Bernard noted the brief display of displeasure at his request. More importantly he noted the faltering that registered among the agents as they seemingly altered their destination at her bidding. His presence changed something as they began walking down one of the long halways to the north. She was hiding something.
"My name is Jeannette, most call me 'The Cataloger'.” ” ~she’s the one Rycroft circumvented in delivering the stims~” ” I will accompany you and relay your message to Rycroft. Were there many casualties? You are the only one that returned? How badly damaged was the basement lab?" She questioned as they walked down the halls. She stopped and gave a slight smile before continuing.
"I'm sorry for all the questions... You must be hungry, yes?" Bernard nodded in the affirmative " We can provide food. I'm sure the last few days have been hard for you..." She said as she stepped to the side of the room to allow Bernard to look around.
As appealing as the thought of food was he suddenly felt very uneasy as he looked inside.
”I understand your curiosity. They call me Omen. Bernard replied reluctant to enter the box." You sure you have the time to tend to me? Not that I mind the attention, but,you looked pretty busy back there when I walked in. Can’t you just send Rycroft a message on that thing you're holding? I’m sure I’ll be fine until he gets here.”
He redirected. "You mentioned she was in the final stage as you barked your orders. How long has she been infected?"

He redirected. "You mentioned she was in the final stage as you barked your orders. How long has she been infected?"
He ignored most of the questions, or at least put them on hold for a bit. She squinted her eyes, but nodded her head to his first question.
"The message has been sent. I can't leave you alone since you don't have a ID pass key," she said while touching the one hanging around her neck. "It would be dangerous for you to wander around alone unattended. The guards could mistake you as an intruder and we wouldn't be able to properly protect you, the entire base would go on lockdown. It is standard protocol that I guide newcomers while they are visiting. Don't worry, the orders have been sent out and our agents are hard at work. As I said before, the police station is our main priority, once that is secured I will give further orders. They can handle things on their own. Coffee and a hot breakfast sound good? I have sent a request to bring you a meal."
She didn't type on her tablet this time, the command was sent mentally through her processor.
"As for Glory... she has been infected for about fifteen years... In that time we have been researching a cure to the best of our ability and learning how the infection works. The cure was completed by the original team in the lab, but they only managed to create a single sample before they were all killed. Glory's team was sent to extract that sample as a rescue mission, but the mission went south and the scientists were trapped in the basement without anyway to communicate. Their last orders was to duplicate the cure into a large dose, but without the power on there was no way to distribute the cure. Glory sent a final message saying that she would hold off the onslaught of Consumers and that she locked her team in the underground facility to keep them safe and that it was secure and empty of threats. As time went on though, we had reason to believe that the sub basement was also compromised and they were all killed. That is where you came in to complete their work, turn the power back on and distribute the cure. Nice job. From here, any further outbreaks can not only be controlled, but completely cured. We will eventually clear out District Zero and open it back up to the public..." She finished with a smug smile on her face.

((Observation-Did you see that?- roll= 30+ 20+5 (glasses)- 20 fatigue= must be imagining things))
Fatigued
---- ”…From here, any further outbreaks can not only be controlled, but completely cured. We will eventually clear out District Zero and open it back up to the public..." She finished with a smug smile on her face.
Bernard didn’t appreciate the arrogance.
”15 years? You’ve been covering up this mess that long.” Bernard quiried shocked at the time frame. ” What did you hope to achieve? Does that make Gloria patient zero or just the ONE worth saving ? I hope you’ve got it right THIS time. For all our sakes.”
Any truth to the answers he sought were likely shrouded in half truths. He didn’t have to be a mind reader to note Jeanette’s distrust. Yet, could he blame her when he himself overflowed with suspicion?
He thought he saw Jeanettte blinking. Much the same way as Ari as she communicated with Rycroft at Springfield’s suburbian home. Did she the blonde Catolougerposses an artificial memory processor as well? The subtle hints behing the tinted lenses subsided as quickly as they appeared. He couldn’t be sure. Was he imagining things?
”To address your concerns.” Bernard responded before she noticed his intrest. ”The facility, particularily the lab is mainly intact. As least it was when we vacated. I had managed to retrieve the N.O.E.R. scientists from the sub basement and get them out of the main complex. Unfortunately, we were separated when I engaged Gloria during our evacuation.” He deliberately skipped the details involving the heroine’s desire to destroy the facility. ”The last I saw of them they were nearing the main gate.”
“As as for my safety, I thank you for your concern. I’m not about to just wander off. This place is HUGE and I want to be here should she wake. She seemed lost. I would like to help her find her way if I can.”
He pressed further. ”Do you think she will ever be her self again?”
Rycroft and a female agent holding a tray walked into the room. The female agent handed Bernard a platter with food on it- breakfast sausage, eggs and pancakes with a hot cup of coffee.
"Yes, we've been covering it up this entire time." Rycroft spoke as he entered the room. His hair was combed and slicked back, the dark sunglasses covered his eyes and he wore a neutral expression on his face. Jeannette turned around to stare at him, giving her boss a curious look as he walked in.
"Nice to see you alive and well." He continued. "There is a lot to explain and very little time. Simply destroying District Zero and all of our research would not have been productive nor beneficial to us. We needed to understand exactly what happened when the facility blew up and why the formula changed, that took a lot of time to do since a large portion of our original formula and data was destroyed along with the original facility. Then there was PR and damage control, however... the recent attacks have actually moved us forward and given us more control to operate freely. Thanks to your help, we now have the Mayor backing us." He placed his hands behind his back as he spoke.
"Now that we have the details, this will allow us to proceed with the Zenith project as planned. We have successfully engineered the perfect soldier to control and combat Sensitives, we just need to get them to follow orders. There are a lot of reckless people out there with powers that we simply cannot match, this gives us a bit of an edge to help maintain control." He adjusted his tie as he walked over to look at Glory's face, examining her from ear to ear. Jeannette eyed him and watched as he crossed the room.
"Thanks to your help, we can do just that. Glory was not necessarily one of our goals, we figured she was a lost cause, but sadly we did not have the means to kill her. Her energy shield made long range attacks all but impossible to hit her, and short of dropping a nuke on her there was no way to get passed it. All we could do was suppress her with fire power to keep her within the wall until she ran out of energy and retreated. But thanks to you, having a stage four Consumer alive and well gives us the tools we need to isolate the problem in their mental behavior... we have a team of special scientists that have been studying their behavior to understand why the Consumers behave the way they do. With Glory here we plan to cure her while allowing her to keep her new enhanced abilities."
He now turned around to face Bernard. "You are probably wondering why I am sharing all of this information... I have a very good reason and would like to show you our latest project. I do believe that you will be the key to help her find her way back to humanity. With your help, we could do a lot of good for this city. How would you to take a small walk to see what we have been working on?"
