"Are you alright? It looks like they aren't getting back up. What now, sir?" George asked extending a hand to help Bernard to his feet. The enemy clones looked on in disqust, blood trickling from their mouths as they lay slumped over upon smooth tiled floor.
”I’ll be fine George.” The red head replied as the clone assisited him to his feet.”I only wish the others understood what I offer. "Leave them." He stated " We'll retrieve the doctor and move on." Bernard looked about room taking a little time to examine that large test tube like cylinders strewn about the room before making his way to the executive’s to search for desk for signs of a lap top.
”There must be a creation chamber of some sort on this level. I’d like to make sure that there is little chance of any further experimentation. They have played god long enough.” The Sensitive claimed retrieving his weapon from the clone’s corpse.
Jeannette lay on the ground, unmoving and lifeless. John walked over to check her pulse and confirmed that she was dead with a slight nod of his head. The test tubes were currently filled with baby clones, the liquid inside was bubbling as if the machine that powered them was recently activated. Ringo walked over to Jeannette's desk to join Bernard. There indeed was a portable laptop tablet sitting on her desk, since she was using it just moments before it was not password protected. The desk contained numerous documents about all of Hydra's projects and plans neatly filed away inside her desk. The laptop screen currently showed a list of all of their items in stock, and in the top left corner was a surveillance feed showing the main halls.
A gunfight was going on as Vega and Ortega worked together to dispatch the forces that stood in their way. Vega would bring up a shield or shoot rays of energy from a distance, while Ortega was more hands on, charging forward and beating his opposition with brute force.
Ringo frowned as he looked at the footage. "Looks like we have company. We might want to steer clear from them. There is a room below here that powers the entire building. Not so much a secret room, but more like a maintenance hatch. It's dangerous down there since that is where the power core is located, if you shut it down or blow it up it will stop all further operations. This room is where most of the clones grow, there are other labs where they are taken for more processing. I bet you could shut it all down if you are any good with computers." He said as he gestured towards Jeannette's laptop.

---- ”…I bet you could shut it all down if you are any good with computers."” Ringo said as he gestured towards Jeannette's laptop.
Bernard had been scouring the video feed for signs of Rycroft or the remaining Jeanette amongst the mayhem. He was confident that Vega and Ortega would finish what he had started. Following Ringo’s statement, the red head looked up from the footage toward the tubes of bubbling liguid containing the baby clones. ”Unfortunately, my computer skills aren’t all that great.” The Sensitive explained shaking his head from side to side.”But since we’re alreay in, I should be able to reset the passcode for future acess. I think Dr. Baris may be of more help in that regard. If not we may have to improvise.”
”How do you feel about the cessation of your future brothers and sisters?” ”Are we doing the right thing?”
While the Dr. Guys, Jeanettes and Rycrofts of this world didn’t deserve to carry on, their experimental fodder didn’t necessarily merit the same fate. They were just simply following orders.
"When did he become so soft?
And while today’s crop would be razed the pemise would undoubtably live on in the hands of the immortal. For him this setback was but a moment in time. Through him, Hydra’s experimentation would undoubtably resurface again with a different face. It was only a question of whether it would be this genereation or the next to witness the rebirth. Bernard keyed in a search, initiating an inquiry to pull up any material regarding one Bartelmus Rycroft that may be stored within the electronic device’s memory. One way or another he would somehow find the man hidden behind Hydra’s curtain. He was convinced Jeanette’s communications would point him in the right direction. The Sensitive would have liked to explore Rycroft’s office as well but that would only increase his chances of crossing paths with Vega and Ortega. Bernard felt he would rather them think him dead. Some reunions were best left for another time.
”Is there another way out from this level or are we limited to the elevator?” Bernard inquired of his companions as he gathered the files and the lap top from Jeanette’s desk.

The other clones gathered around as Bernard asked if they should 'Kill' the other clones. They looked at one another, then gave a silent nod of approval. George spoke up. "I think it is best. With all of us sharing the same face they could never have a normal life. We were bred for war, built to kill. We didn't choose this life. It is best they cease before completion. Maybe the others will join us when the time comes. If those two men on the ground floor reach this level I am sure they will burn the lab anyways." He finished.
The surveillance footage showed that Rycroft's office was empty. The main floor and armory was a chaotic mess with people running all over the place, a slew of dead bodies, or agents shooting at their intruders. If Jeannette was still alive there was no sign of her, if she were dead she was among the large clutter of bodies currently on the floor.
The computer search for B. Rycroft that showed a flight record from only a few days ago, he had arrived on a plane and come to the island. All it showed was the date and time and that he had arrived in the morning, no other information was recorded. All other records showed information of the past and his supposed death as his son took over the company. There was very little information of "Bartelmus" that came up in the search.
Ringo- who was now helmetless, put a hand to his temple in thought. "I'm sure there is another secret exit on this floor, but we never left that room often with the prisoners, so I'm not completely sure. We would eat, sleep, guard, watch, repeat. Sometimes we would follow and talk with one of the executives, but we never went far. However, Rycroft had his own Private elevator in his office that he would use to come here, I know where that is, it is just down the hall a bit to the east. We could access the elevator and ride it to the top floor. We probably still have a helicopter on the roof." He explained.

---- ”….. We could access the elevator and ride it to the top floor. We probably still have a helicopter on the roof." Ringo explained.
With the main floor and armory a chaotic blood bath, the clone’s suggestion appeared to be the more logical choice. Bernard had little doubt Vega and Ortega would be trying to locate Rycroft. The executive’s office would be the most likely destination. There was always a chance that paths would cross and the Sensitive had done his best to distance himself. His association with the clones would only complicate any encounter.
”I wish I could promise that things would be better for you after all this. We’ll retrieve Baris and grab as many vitality serums and supplies as we can carry. Once we regroup we’ll access the elevator and make our way to the exit. If all goes well resistance should be minimal.”
The Sensitive than raised a hand and began super heating the liquid inside the series of enlarged test tubes. "Just to be sure" He uttered.
The clones watched emotionless as he heated the tubes, boiling the clones inside and killing them. As soon as he was done, all of them except for John walked in a straight line out of the lab and back out into the hall. John walked over to Jeannette's body and took her key card from around her neck. Bernard already had one, but a second was always handy. Nathan and Clarity- Manfred, were still standing there waiting for their return. "I was starting to get worried. Everything went well I assume?" Nathan inquired.
While Bernard explained, the gang went to the labs to load up more supplies as fast as they could.
The clones led the way to the elevator, it required a security code but John simply waved Jeannette's card to open the elevator and they all filed inside. "This will take us straight to the office, from there the stairs to the roof isn't far. If we run into trouble can we defeat them?" George asked.
Nathan looked confused. "What exactly is going on...? I still have no answers what is happening..."
Clarity looked nervous and had began to shiver. He just stared at Bernard in fear, but he still never spoke a word.

"This will take us straight to the office, from there the stairs to the roof isn't far. If we run into trouble can we defeat them?" George asked.
”I’m not sure we can George.” Bernard replied solemly as he shouldered a duffle brimming with supplies . The blockers we gathered may help slow them but I’m not sure they will be enough.
Nathan looked confused. "What exactly is going on...? I still have no answers… what is happening..."
”Hydra is crumbling.” Bermard remarked coldly.”Their past misdemenors have finally caught up with them. Skeletons buried behind District Zeros have surfaced; Ortega has returned; and the founders are all but eliminated. To move forward, this city will need to find their own way. We can’t help them if we die here.”
Clarity looked nervous and had began to shiver. He just stared at Bernard in fear , but never spoke a word. The doors soon opened to Rycroft’s office.
” All right boys, spread out and take a quick look around before we hit the roof. The Jeanette’s likely removed anything of importance when they overthrew Rycroft. Still, the crafty bastard may have a hidey hole they missed. Let’s hope that chopper you spoke of is on the roof or this may get ugly yet. One of you can fly that bird right? ” Bernard asked of the Beatles.
Nathan stared at Bernard in shock, shaking his head in disbelief. "I'll need to catch up on everything that's been happening on the outside... I've been stuck here studying the infection for the past week and a half..." Nathan replied. As the group reached the top floor of Rycroft's office, which was oddly pristine and clean , as if someone had recently scrubbed the room down.
Ringo nodded his head. "Yes sir, we are trained for all vehicle operations. We'll be able to get the bird in the air." He confirmed.
Nathan and the Beetle clones started searching the room for anything out of place, but they didn't have much luck. Clarity walked over to Rycroft's desk, picked up a black remote control, and typed in a complex series of buttons. The back wall was filled with security monitors that lined the wall from top to bottom. All of the monitors instantly turned on and began showing the footage of a prison cell, one of which was old footage from earlier in the day, showing Jeannette walk in with a detail of clones to confront Rycroft. The clones put a bag over his head and dragged him away, out of the cell and down the hall. The footage on the different monitors followed them to the garage, where they placed him in the back of the trunk of a car and closed it. The clones got into the car and drove away. The other monitors showed current footage. The one armed clone was inside of the security room, overriding the security system, while Ortega and Vega had split up on different floors to take out the executives.
Clarity then pressed another series of buttons, and... the back wall full of monitors rotated around to reveal another back room that resembled a miniature lab. He raised his hand and tapped his head to signal that he used his powers.
Inside was a metal bullet shaped machine, and inside that machine was a clone of Rycroft in hibernation.

((Bernard ATK- There can be just one- roll=99+40 level = stick him)) ((Damage= you decide + 40)) -----
Bernard took note of the footage regarding Rycroft. It seemed that the excutive may have if fact escaped a death sentence at the hands of the Jeanettes. That was disappointing. One more loose end that still needed to be snipped unless father performed the execution himself. Still, as disappointing as it was the situation possibly had a silver lining.
Like any corporation, Hydra was all about micro management.
”I would imagine company vehicles are equipped with some sort of GPS. Think we can access that particular signal and find out where they’ve taken Vladimir?”
The red head was momentarily distracted by another image that appeared on the monitors. ”Wait! There! “ He exclaimed pointing at the footage showing the one armed clone. ”Where is that? Is there any way we can communicate with that clone without broadcasting our whereabouts?”
As Bernard spoke, the wall full of monitors rotated around to reveal another back room that resembled a miniature lab. Clarity raised his hand taking ownership of the phenomina tapping his head to signal that he used his powers.
That meant he power blockers had worn off. With it a new set of obstacles presented. If Manfred had access to his abilities he would be aware soon enough of Bernard’s intention to have the psychic launch himself off the building when they reached the rooftop.
That hitch required immediate resolution.
”Well done Manfred!” Bernard proclaimed making his way toward the bullet shaped machine.
"Although, you will have to forgive me if my actions spoils my previous sentiment." The red headed Sensitive continued, sending the remaining power blocker supplied to him by Doctor Colm telekinetically like a bullet toward the rival mindbender's heart. The proximity to the life sustaining organ would only serve to distribute the serum more readily.
"Thing is, I just can’t chance you wandering around inside my head.”
Manfred was a psychic and could predict and see the future, but he didn't see that attack coming. The fast moving projectile struck him in the heart and caused him to stumble back in shock and fall on the ground. He gasped as he looked at the object protruding from his chest. The serum kicked in and began running through his bloodstream. Nathan gasped in surprise and took a step backwards. "What are you doing?!" he blurted out of instinct. He knew the man was a criminal, but the sudden attack took most of them off guard.
The clones looked at Bernard and waited for a few seconds to see if he would explain.
"Thing is, I just can’t chance you wandering around inside my head.”
They thought that was a good enough reason, and resumed the previous conversation, the images on the monitors. John nodded his head at the screen. "That was Jeannette's unit that took Rycroft away, the one we just fought. We should be able to access their tracking chips located in their forehead to pull up old records for where they went. We can do that remotely if we access the system. I might be able to do it now from Rycroft's computer, but I'm not sure how much time we have left..." He said as he walked around to start working as fast as he could to pull the information Bernard requested.
George pointed at the screen- which was now partly cut off due to the wall rotating, and gave his input about what he saw. "I know that room, it is the main security room on the first floor. That must be why the alarm went on in the first place, he must have gained restricted access to the system. It looks like he has bypassed a lot of the security measures, probably why most of the clones didn't drop dead from Jeannette's remote deadman switch..." He explained.
Paul simply stood in the center of the room with his arms crossed. "So what do you want to do? Why does any of this matter?"
