The first thing Nathan did as soon as they drove away from the hooded man, was call the police. He wanted the authorities to have a heads up about his stolen briefcase just in case they arrested the man. He provided them with a description of the man that took the case, and where he was last seen. Nathan would give Naida the same description later so that she could help him track the man down.
But for now, they were just going to rest. He helped his sister out of the car and paid the taxi driver for his time. Normally Naida would take the stairs up to their apartment, but Nathan insisted that they take the cramped elevator since it was faster. He unlocked their front door and walked Naida to her room. "Alright kid, get a few hours of rest. We have a lot to talk about. I may have dug us into a deep hole. I'll explain later." He gave a nod of his head and then turned to walk away. He put the groceries away first, and then got ready for bed. He was then finally able to lay down to get some well deserved rest...

Naida got out of the car and followed Nathan up to their apartment. She leaned her weight on his shoulder as he helped her to the elevator and up to their unit.
She gave her thanks and he nodded his head and left her room. She all but collapsed on the bed. She was so hungry. She forgot to eat at the club and her stomach was killing her. To make things worse her temperature was still on the rise. She closed her eyes and decided it was best to call Hydra and ask for an official day off...
Naida slept peacefully for the most part. Her fever like symptoms seemed to have completely diminished, but there was a bit of pain in her arm. She sat up and looked at it, and only then did she remember that she had cut herself when she fell near the police station and bank.
She remembered that Nathan was also injured by the bouncer. She got out of bed and went to the bathroom to wash her wounds and put on a fresh pair of clothes. After she showered she dressed in some comfortable sweatpants and a tank top and checked her face in the mirror. She was surprised to see how clear her skin complexion was. She touched her arm and noticed that the scar had began to rapidly heal on its own. "Well that's strange..."
She no longer felt like she had to throw up, nor did she feel lightheaded. However, the hunger pangs remained, in fact they were much worse. She stumbled through the dark into the kitchen and flipped on the light. "Oooh, looks like Nate picked up some food!" She grabbed several packages of lunch meat, bread, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, the works, and piled it all on to make a sandwich. She sat down at the kitchen counter and devoured her late night snack.

Well deserved rest? Not so much. Nathan had a restless broken sleep, filled with tossing, turning, and muttered curses all throughout the night. He couldn't sleep because the only thing he could think about was his stolen briefcase. He sat up from his bed and decided that since he couldn't sleep that he would instead do a bit of work until morning.
He walked out of his room and saw Naida sitting at the kitchen counter eating a sandwich. "Hey, kid. I see you couldn't sleep either..."
He walked over to the open counter that separated the living room from the kitchen and leaned his elbows on the top of it. "How are you feeling? You look like you're doing a bit better...."

She tossed the last piece of sandwich in her mouth and balled up the napkin; tossing it in the trash. "Yep, I'm feeling much better. My arm still hurts a bit from the fall, but look-" She held her arm out for him to see and rotated it back and forth. "It is already starting to heal. I can't explain it."
She walked over and touched the side of his face, and then turned it to the side to look at the small cuts on her brother's cheek. "You on the other hand, mister man, did not properly clean your cuts from when that bouncer tossed you out of the club. Come on, I'll help you clean up."
She walked to the closet and grabbed a bottle of peroxide and a clean face towel, then returned back to the kitchen area. "Take a seat." While she waited for him to sit down she poured a small amount of peroxide on the towel and then began to dab it on his face to clean the small cuts. "So, what was that all about at the bar? I left before it happen, and when I came back I didn't get a good look at the guy's face. It isn't like you to get into fights."

Nathan smiled as his sister said she was feeling better, and then frowned as she showed him her arm. "That's strange... And you didn't take your medicine either...?" He didn't really ask the question for her to answer, he more so muttered it to himself. "Nice to hear you are feeling better."
He almost pulled his face away as she walked over and went to touch him, but he decided to let her help to clean his wounds anyway. He had completely forgotten about them when they got home. "I was so busy worrying about the guy that stole my briefcase, I hadn't even thought about cleaning myself up. My suit has a few holes and tears in it. I'll have to buy a new one to replace it..."
He still had a spare suit he could wear, but the black one was his favorite. When Naida asked about what had happened at the bar he scoffed and shook his head. "The jerk was mouthing off and making comments about you. Just a few minutes before I asked him the time, and he got mad and was like 'what's your problem'" He said in a mocking tone.
"Then all of a sudden he wants to be friends and ask about you. The jerk... Anyways, I told him to mind his own business and he got mad. He decided to pay the bartender to toss me out the club, and I countered with an offer of my own. We both ended up losing out though because we were both thrown out the club- mine a bit more literal. But for some strange reason he decided to steal my briefcase... Which brings us to our next problem. I never returned the data uplink, and I took a small peek at the information that you 'stole' and put on the Datastick..."
He cleared his throat nervously. "I placed both into my briefcase, the same one that was stolen...." He let off a sigh.
"So I need your help getting it back. I don't know the guys name, but he had short red hair, ugly mutton chop sideburns, and a black leather jacket... Oh yeah, and then he put the grey hoody on. You think you can help me find him?"

Naida listened while she continued to clean the cuts on Nathan's face. The cuts really weren't that bad, they were about equal to what a child would get when falling off a bike. She couldn't help but smile as Nathan described the events at the bar. He got into a fight because the guy thought she was cute? That was awesome! Her smile turned into a wide grin as the story went on. She found this very amusing. And then she went dead serious as he finished.
She stopped what she was doing and just stared at him wide eyed with her mouth hanging open. "Oh my god, Nathan!" She couldn't believe her ears. What he just told her was the greatest thing of all time.
"Wait here!" She ran out of the kitchen and into her bedroom, she reached under her bed and grabbed her backpack and then ran back into the kitchen. She reached into the side pouch and removed the police sketch for her brother to see. She waved it around with excitement. "What you just described matches the exact same description as the man that stole the motorcycle a few days ago! The only difference is that his hair is now short. But do you know how long it takes to grow out even mutton chop sideburns? I bet a couple of months. If he had long hair and a beard he could easily cut it down to match what you just described. Especially if he wanted to go under the radar. I mean, who wouldn't after stealing from Hydra?"
She was now giddy with joy. She had a bit of research to do, but she now had a really good lead. She still wanted to take a day off, but this information was too good to be true. "This is the best thing that could have ever happened to you! I can not only get all of your stuff back, but I can also find the guy that robbed the Hydra supply trucks!"

Nathan tried to follow the paper as she waved it around. He stopped and just stared at her for a long time without saying anything; processing everything she was telling him. "So you mean to tell me..." He began.
"That everything that happened was a good thing? Naida... He. Stole. Valuable. Hydra. Information. Because I didn't hand it in." He said while carefully stressing each word. "Information that we were never supposed to have. We're in deep here. Hydra will have our heads for this. We're now criminals."
Nathan threw his hands in the air and stood up from his chair. "You have a badly drawn police sketch, and you think the guys are one and the same? Do you know the chances of that? Yeah, they both have red hair but you have to consider that the long haired hobo that stole the Hydra supplies is a different guy from the short haired mutton chop delinquent that stole my briefcase."
He took a deep breath and crossed his arms. "We need to deal with this carefully so that we don't make any mistakes..."
Naida's smile slowly faded as Nathan shot her idea down. He didn't even hear her plan. It was upsetting but she kept her cool. She took a deep breath before she started talking. "Hold on," She said putting her hand up. "I have this under control. I'm working undercover for Hydra to join the Aces and expose them. The last raid Hydra did didn't go well because the Aces fled into the Underground. The tunnels were horribly confusing and our guys lost the gang members."
She now took a seat to explain her plan. "Hydra knows I joined them, so let's just tell them I took the information." Before Nathan could protest, she raised both hands and cut him off. "Trust me! I have a really good idea! Just hear me out." She began walking him through her plan step by step.
When she was done she was smiling again and leaning forward. "So what do you think? Will you help me?"

Nathan frowned and clenched his jaw. When she was done explaining he was tapping his foot while thinking it over. "That is risky..." He admited. "But, it actually isn't a bad plan. When you said you could solve it all I didn't think that was what you had in mind. But this might cost me my job. If you can carry your idea out without getting me fired, then I'm in. Go on and make the call to Hydra. Let's just hope this ends well for us..."
Nathan walked out of the room and headed to his bedroom to get dressed. The sun was now fully up and it was almost time to go to work. That is, if he still had a job...
