((Worded that wrong. The post I made before this one. So never mind. If you don't see the deference then you didn't read it. My last post was very, very short when I first posted it up. I had changed it later and made it longer.))
Naida flinched when the girl... kissed her...
Her eyes went wide as she got close and Naida just stood there, shocked.
Okay, obviously she had a lot to learn. Hydra people weren't friendly and most were very old (Jeannette too, even though she didn't look like it), so it was nice to have a friendly person around that was close to her age. Naida didn't want to be mean, but no more kisses. That was strange. Hugs were fine, kisses were not.
She had to set some boundaries. Here goes. She took a deep breath and put on her most cheerful smile.
"I have something to say. First, I'm glad you liked your training. I enjoy training too." Her smile grew a bit bigger.
I hope she doesn't take this the wrong way...
"Alright, and now for the list of important things that will help keep you working here at Hydra. Before we head out to eat there are a few rules we need to run through first.
Number one, no more kissing," she waved her hands in front of her in a circular motion, arms out and fingers facing the ground. "We need to keep some personal space, otherwise things may get uncomfortable..."
She then held up two fingers, and added one more for every number she spoke out loud.
"Number two, Hydra people are mean and grumpy. Many of them have to stay here for weeks on end without being able to go home to their families. So doing things like hugging, kissing, or touching, may make them angry or nervous. Most are already on edge.
"Three, I will be in charge. No offense, but we need to stick to chain of command. You just started here so that makes you my side kick. Nothing personal...
And last but not least, number four.
You have to learn to dress for success. I don't mind your clothes, but our boss might get a bit angry. So would you like to change clothes before eating? If you don't mind going out as you are then I'll call a taxi... or have Jeannette call. I don't have my own phone any more. I broke it. Don't ask how..."
She hoped the girl wasn't too sensitive about the list she just went over. She studied her face to see how she was going to react. Maybe I should throw in a compliment to balance it out.
"It's nice to have someone young to talk to for a change. Um, I like your slippers... They're very... cute." Her mind went blank, she couldn't think of anything nice to say at the moment...
