((Search roll - 73 SUCCESS!)) Dennis tries to relax himself.
So what you didn't find the guard right away, you've just got to look harder
Dennis straitens his body up, every muscle in his body aligning and inhales deeply. In a jokey tone Dennis replies to Glory "Well I'm glad one of us can" ending in a chuckle.
Dennis once again rambles across the room, exploring every last option to find the guard nearly tumbling with the amount of focus he is using.
Ducking behind one of the clusters of plants located in every corner of the room, was a guard that was trying to hide from you. Because of his dark clothing he had blended in perfectly with the shadows the leaves were creating. But now that you have actually looked for him, and have now spotted him, you realize that he stands out clearly and is quite obvious. The guard notices that you are looking right at him, and decides to make a run for it. "You'll never take me alive!"

Well durr of course he was there, F*** how could I be that stupid
Dennis waits for the right moment to pounce and then Dennis spots his chance. Dennis reacts into a huge leap towards the Guard but slams hard into the wall behind the guard.
Well that didn't work
Dennis props his arms onto the wall and tries to propel himself to be able to reach the Guard but fails to spring off the wall landing on his back.
The guard watched on as Dennis attempted to subdue him. He used the man's own momentum against him. As Dennis fell back, the guard grabbed his arm, pulling him closer and twisting Dennis' body around so that he was thrown in the air and landed on the ground face first. He grabbed his arm again, forcing him to stay down by lightly pinning him to the ground by pressing his knee down on his back. Dennis ended up being the one that was subdued instead....
"Ha, nice try. But I got you now. Give up?" the guard taunted as he held him in place.
Glory shook her head and walked over, tapping the guard on the shoulder to let Dennis up. "Hmm, that was interesting. We'll move on... I think you get the idea...
"If you used this skill against a real opponet you would first have to get their Health points down to about 40 HP. Since you now understand how to use your skills, let's move on to your final training exercise: Combat. Come on."
Glory waves a hand to the door for Dennis to follow her. "Kenny, you can go back to hiding for the next student. We'll see you later." Kenny the guard nodded his head and crawled back on his hands and knees behind the plants, while Glory walked out of the room and into the next one.
She stopped on the other side of the doorway to wait for Dennis. "If you have any questions, now would be a good time to ask."

Dennis snarls at the guard "You got lucky punk!". Dennis notices Glory tapping the guard on the shoulder.
"Hmm, that was interesting. We'll move on... I think you get the idea...
Dennis:"But I..."
Dennis cut's his sentence short swallowing his pride which was a hard task for him to do. The guard offers his hand to Dennis which is again reluctantly accepts knowing full well the guard was quite happy to have got the upper hand.
Iguess if I had to do that all day I wouldn't be to pleased either
The Guard pulls Dennis up and helps dust his outfit down.
"Since you now understand how to use your skills"
Dennis' expression falls to a slight frown.
Lord how can I screw up so bad so often
"let's move on to your final training exercise: Combat. Come on."
Dennis follows behind Glory, with a dent in his pride and lacking any true confidence he entered with.
"If you have any questions, now would be a good time to ask."
Dennis:"Yeah one thing"
Dennis pauses for a moment taking a deep breath in.
Dennis:"So what's this all about then? I mean how comes one of the greatest heroes of all time does the new guy training?"
((You are near the end. Next two posts are going to be very long...))
Glory's teeth clenched. She was glad she had the mask on. I've been wondering the same thing. A waste of my talent if you ask me. She didn't say that out loud though.
She dropped her head for a bit and then shook it left and right to remove the thought from her mind.
"Another good question. The reason is that I'm now... retired... My job is to train the new students to help prepare them for when they go out on the field. It is a huge morale boost to new students to train under their favorite heroes. Maybe one day you will get to meet the others...
"I help share information and support the next generation of operatives with anything they may need help with. For the most part, it has been working. We've only had very few cases with failed students. Everything has been going smoothly for the past few years..." She cleared her throat. "Let us move on, shall we?" She waved a hand to allow him to pass by her and step into the next room. His questions were starting to make her feel uncomfortable. She gave a glance up to one of the cameras that was mounted on the ceiling and gave a shake of her head...
4. The Arithmetic's of combat.
The next room Dennis walked into was a training dojo. Blue mats line the floor to help absorb the impact for when you hit, and a few more line the walls in case you are thrown into them. Other then that the room is completely empty of items in the room. Advanced students that have already passed all of their training tests are up agaisnt the wall, a few are smiling or snickering, but all eyes were now on the new guy. A man with a blue hoody, silver goggles, and a fake mustache nods his head to Dennis in greeting.
Glory stayed in the doorway, she pointed at the man with the silver goggles. "Alright, now for combat training. Go talk to Powerflux, the combat instructor to get started. He goes by a new name now but just ignore it. I have a few important things to take care of, so this is where we will part. Don't worry, we'll see each other again soon. As a warning though, I must tell you that Powerflux can be a bit... odd... But, he is a nice guy. He'll help you learn anything else from here on out. Alright, good luck." Glory stayed in the doorway to watch as Dennis walked in to greet Flux, and then turned to walk back out the way they came in.

Upon noticing Glory shake her head Dennis wondered what she must of been thinking.
Did I say the wrong thing? What you saying, you know she must enjoy the down time. Maybe even enjoy seeing the new guys succeed
"I'm now... retired"
Super heroes retire? Well I guess that makes sense. Glory's been around since the early 1980's I think. Oh wait stop thinking, start listening
Dennis head shots up.
"We've only had very few cases with failed students"
Dennis nods politely. Dennis though of failed students worried him slightly.
"Let us move on, shall we?"
Dennis:"Of course ma'am"
Noticing Glories wave Dennis steps in front of her, his eyes scanning the room.
Well this looks like something you can do!
"Alright, now for combat training. Go talk to Powerflux, the combat instructor to get started."
A single nod to acknowledge and Dennis presses onward towards the combat instructor ensuring he doesn't convey the slights sign of weakness. Long strides towards the Instructor inch Dennis closer and closer to the mats and the students. Dennis approached the man who fitted the description Glory gave him.
Dennis:"Excuse me sir, I was told by Glory to start my combat training with you."
Powerflux walked over to Dennis, sticking his hand out for him to shake. "Welcome, welcome. You must be the newest student to the academy. Oh how I love new students. Bless the holy doughnut, for it gives you strength." He lifted a white powdered doughnut in his hands and took a bite. It was filled with a cherry filling and had sprinkles on top. "Don't worry, there is a bakery that makes tons of these a day. The Holy doughnut will come back." He snapped his fingers and stopped to look around the room for a bit, then smoothed out his fake mustache.
He took a step back. "My name is the Mysterious mustache. I am here to teach you how to fight. Combat is just like using skills and abilities, so you should catch on pretty easy. You may have noticed that there are certain combat abilities in the skills list, you will use them in the same way as the last test you just came from. There is one difference though with using life skills and fighting in combat, and that is that you will have two turns: A attack turn to deal damage to your target, and a defensive turn to try and dodge the attack aimed at you. Remember when you subdued that guard? Er... or tried to... That would be your attack turn, but instead of just being subdued like you were, you would have a chance to defend your self and roll to block his attack.
"Use the double parentheses for what you roll within your post, just like when you bought the items or when you looked for the hidden guard. Refer to the "Battle Rules" post to learn how to set up your combat post. If you don't understand something in the post, ask about it now. After you think you understand, we will have a small sparing match." The Mysterious mustache tossed Dennis some sparring gear to ensure his safety, and then went back to smoothing his fake mustache out. "Alright, we will do melee combat only. No weapons. And since you don't have any, no powers. Ready? Let's go then."
((You get the first attack. If you have a question you may ask it and fight at the same time.))

Dennis grasps the hand of Mysterious mustache shaking in the process. Releasing hands Mysterious mustache continues.
"Welcome, welcome. You must be the newest student to the academy. Oh how I love new students."
Yeah, you might as well expect an ass whooping Dennis. Judging by the way he said that he must enjoy his job
Dennis straitens his body once again gently rotation his wrists and arms in an attempt to loosen up knowing that combat is just around the corner.
"Bless the holy doughnut, for it gives you strength."
Dennis appears knocked back by the comment, sure his said pretty much the same thing after finding a bottle of whiskey years ago but he was alone.
Ok, this could take an unexpected twist
Dennis watches Mysterious mustache ripped a chunk out of the doughnut and devouring it. Dennis' stomach grumbles, the sight of a fresh doughnut is rather appealing at a time like this and without a cigarette for awhile his feeling more hungry.
"Don't worry, there is a bakery that makes tons of these a day. The Holy doughnut will come back."
OK I could really do with a snack about now
Within Dennis' mouth a pile up of saliva begins to expand which he quickly gulps down. Dennis' eyes are dragged towards the doughnut but then quickly back towards Mysterious mustache.
"Alright, we will do melee combat only. No weapons. And since you don't have any, no powers. Ready? Let's go then."
Finally! I couldn't stand watching that doughnut anymore.
Dennis nods at Mysterious mustache then takes a fighting stance similar to a boxer.
OK this is it, time for some hard work
Dennis James opening attack 100/100 HP ------------------------
Dennis rushes towards Mysterious mustache and launches himself into the air, gliding in the air Dennis lifts both of his legs and extends his hole body. With a gust of air flowing Dennis attempts to drop kick Mysterious mustache.
Powerflux scowled at the attack. The last girl tried doing the same thing- "Ooof!" The kick landed and knocked him off his feet. He was so busy scowling at the attack that he didn't have enough time to actually dodge it. He fell back, hitting the mat, but James was used to getting knocked off his feet. He twisted his body so that he landed on his side. He used the momentum to turn the fall into a backwards roll, following it through to land back on his feet. He stumbled a bit as he regained his balance. He looked down, there was something red in his hands. "I'm bleeding! No! I'm Dying..... Oh..." He opened his palm to see that he had squeezed his doughnut and it was now a squishy mess in his hands, red jelly oozing to the floor.
He licked his fingers. His voice was low and angry. "You killed him... You'll pay for that..."
((Attack roll=32))
He charged forward, sliding to a stop. He swept his leg out to do a spinning leg sweep. If Dennis was laying on the ground from his attack, then the sweep would connect and most likely hit him in the side. If he was getting back on his feet, well, he would fall back to the ground again...
