I did a short blurb firing out another innuendo at Wavelink before I exit the club. You seem to have missed any of the earlier hints but maybe she is oblivious to the comments. Maybe she just doesn't swing that way.
If possible I would like to let things stew for a while within the story before showing up on the Club's doorstep with more goods.I am currently weighing the pros/cons to story of visiting the shelter or simply renting a room for the night. . What would be the cost of such a luxury?Think of it... cleaned up, a soft bed, a real meal catch the latest news and sort my spoils in private.
No doubt I will soon be under a several watchful eyes and for the moment I could use the pampering.

I had considered bringing Bernard down to the Underground with Wavelink, but I decided against it. I was weighing out how much they should tell him. For story reasons I wanted Bernard to go down there and eventually go on a small "side quest" for the Aces, but at the same time it wouldn't have made sense for them to let a drunk hobo down in their underground.
So I'm going to stretch it out a bit. If he wants to go back to talk to one of the Aces, he can always show up at the club to talk or sell his goods. Slowly get in good with the gang. If you do decide to rent a room for the night or go stay at the shelter, I bet it would make things very interesting. Why? Because it might give Naida a new lead. ;D

I really wasn't expecting a tour of the underground just yet. First I will build trust and then I will wedge my way into the underworld of the Wylde Aces.
We had talked about Karma adding to your die rolls. I had another thought as I considered my options today discounting many because of the risk involved. What if you could use that Karma as a reroll in critical situations? Each point of Karma would allow you a single reroll once per week. Just a thought.
EDIT: I will let you decide on the acquisition success in procuring the hat and the tie in your description from Nadia as Bernard leaves the club. I Don't think he would procure anything that would make him stick out like a sore thumb.
What's that I see, are we getting a new player???

Hmm, Karma as a reroll... Sounds interesting. I wonder though if it would make things complicated in the long run if players had a high Karma count. I'll think about it. I could see that being useful.
And let's go with the Hat. I could see a drunk guy stumbling into the bathroom wearing a baseball cap, and when offered more free booze, he agrees. I can see it now, the poor guy spending the rest of the night throwing the alcohol up in the toilet. ;D
I also see Captain Jack Spa- Er... Harkness as well! Hopefully he'll send in his bio soon and join us.

Before I go snooping for loot, I need to clarify something first. I left my post a bit vague as of the whereabouts of the vials. Are they down the same alleyway as the club (like where Bernard was hiding in the back dumpster), or down a nearby alley of another street? I know he was in the slums, but I can't remember where. If Naida/Hydra were to go look for the vials, where would they find them?

The medium bag with the vials is tucked safely away in a well disguised hidey hole at Bernard's cardboard crib. I never really had a specific location for his manor but being near the club makes sense. Nadia may get lucky afterall as my original plan was to drive a short distance from the club and return to grab the bag before heading to the Hotel Ritz. I don't like to change my plans just because it is convenient. I could say I saw it in a vision and avoided the situation but it doesn't seem right.
Exactly how accurate is this tracking device?
Last Edit: Jan 24, 2012 22:47:32 GMT -5 by Bernard
The device isn't very accurate. It points in the direction of the item, but it will still require some careful inspection even if you are standing right on top of it. Which would explain why it had such bad readings earlier. I was planning on doing a search roll anyways, so if the roll fails she finds nothing. Besides, I have something in mind rather she finds it or not. Heh heh heh...
Hmm, what if the vials were hidden in the alley just across the street from the club? Like Q-5 or Q-7 on the map? That way if one of the Aces came out to empty the garbage they wouldn't find it, but at the same time it would be close enough for Bernard to walk over to the club if he needed to.

Q-7 works for me. As you can imagine I probably won't be returning there anytime soon.
EDIT: Really??Nadia was able to distinguish the mysterious man in the ally as the patron from the club without the signature cap and his hoodie pulled up over his head. She is getting good at this!
Too bad Bernard couldn't find a plane at an airport at the moment.
I had this thought. Perhaps, it is Nadia's radioactive isotopes that are screwing with the tracker.

Lol what can I say, she was successful in all of her search rolls. I didn't go in detail but She attempted to look passed the cap and at his face.
he was wearing a cap and a long coat. 'Do I know that guy?' She squinted her eyes to see if she could get a glimpse of his face
And the second search roll she made, Bernard had stopped and lit the alleyway up with the fire, which I thought gave off enough light for her to see. Other than the hoody, his height and jacket would remain the same. Keep this in mind though because one of my future posts will refer back to the time she saw him leave the club...
And that is a good thought about her powers. Her EM radiation might give off a EMP that messes up the eletronics near her. I once had an idea that the character would develop cancer because of her powers. Her gimmick was going to be where she was always sick and looking for a cure. Which is why I infected her with the virus.
Almost forgot one last thing... Her name is Naida, pronounced: Nay-Da. A lot of people think I misspell Nadia, and therefore call her Nadia (Like my brother does), but that is not the case. Her name is greek.

My bad, for getting the name wrong all this time. I realized the similarities.I wanted to know it the removal of the cap and the hoodie ever came into play.I was going to have him reverse his jacket but thought against it as he wouldn't assume he would run into anybody considering he never established a tail.
I never intended to draw the weapon out of his pocket but I can see where you could get that idea.
However, I don't think Naida would have necessarily seen Bernard's flight. I had him turning a corner
Continuing along his original path Bernard turned north, heading up a blind alley shortly before Warden Street. ”Fly me to the moon. I want to play among the stars.
I envisioned him turning left up a (blind) alley before he would have exited onto Warden. This would have put him out of Naida's line of sight. He could not head north to Warden from an alley. Not a big deal but it doe give visual representation to connect some dots(ie they are one in the same person). I'm not asking for it to be changed just trying to clarifying the text. I quess I will have to be more clear of my actions in the future
