It didn't feel rushed. The post made sense. I'll post later in the day and get things moving along. I'm not going to do it now because I'm going to have a lot to write out between Bennett, the truck moving on to the bridge, and the actual event starting and taking place.
I also have a lot of reading to do, both on the site and in real life, and I have a few articles I have to finish up. During the week I'm going to read over everything from start to finish on FG just to make sure everything has been properly updated after all the changes were made on the site. I've also found more spelling and grammar errors that need correcting, so I guess I'll get to some of that now.
@dave: I almost forgot, how is your home renovation project coming along? And you also mentioned something about gremlins in your PM.
coming along slowly, this week has been hampered by rain. My roof trusses should arrive tomorrow and the goal is to get them up on the weekend while I have a few extra bodies around to help. Although that could be affected by rain(forcasted) as well.
As for gremlins, I keep having a variety of minor equipment failures showing up although they come and go which makes it hard to pinpoint just what is wrong to source the cause. I have an idea of the problem but I don't just want to start replacing parts and run into the same problem because it is a combination of things. I'll find it....eventually.
@ash You having trouble accessing RPG today. I keep getting the temporarily closed message all day
Yeah I got the same problem with RPGW, it appears they are doing real maintenance this time and it isn't just a random connection problem. I think they are either doing a server update, or perhaps the server was overloaded and crashed. We'll see when it comes back up and they announce what happened.
I hope you get your equipment fixed. I know what that is like. My Graphics card has been screwy for the past six months and will crash if I try to run anything that requires it.
And about your house project, hopefully the rain will hold up for a bit so that you can get the work done. I'll assume that if the rain doesn't fall that you won't be posting on the weekend so that you can get the proper work done. Good luck!

Wow, where is everyone? RP seems to be at a very slow standstill. I know Dave said he would be working on his home project over the weekend, I assume that Safi is still swamped with school work, and Jared is AWOL; that just leaves Dennis who has gone MIA. For those who log on to see this let me know if you will be able to post any time this week just so that I have an idea.
And I'm also still working on recruiting more people to help make the site more active.
I'm still here in spirit. I am currently trying to reach a reasonable solution with the company that manufactured my roof trusses (about 3" too short) which is eating up much of my creative energies. So far none of their "solutions" have satisfied my requirements. Today will probably result in me taking time off work to go down in person and voice my displeasure. I'm on a strict timetable for completion and crap like this isn't helping any. My irritation has a tendency to show up in my writing. Almost have to feel sorry for my Grassroots opponent who is already like fingernails on a chalk board with his techno-B*** robo badass. As Mr T would reiterate. "Pity da fool"
Thanks for the reply. I figured you were still busy trying to get things in order. You have a pretty big project you're taking on so I figured that your weekend home renovations would take up more time than it was suppose to, and that you wouldn't be able to post. Hopefully you will be able to straighten everything out without them giving you any problems. I hate when people mess things up and then get angry when it is time to fix it.
And don't let robo lady get you down, you can still win this. We're rooting for ya! ;D
And I'm also going to continue to assume that School work is taking up a lot of Safi's time, so I don't expect him to post soon either.
So that just leaves one other person. I guess I'll just have to wait and hear from Dennis to see if he will be able to join us.
she says: you should have taken damage from the blast he said:not by the specifications you provided. Read this (inset quote)....I'm out of the stated effective range. Besides my magical suit is fire retardant.
She says: well I seem to have under powered the plasma grenade. It that is the case I would like to argue the amount of damage done to the stage. He said: Once again you described the effects as (insert quote) therefore the effects stand.
He says: you describe your grappling hook as attached to your belt when equipping only to have it conveniently wrist mounted to save your bacon. She says It is a redundant system of the suit not the one attached to my waist. I'll change it but I could have pushed the argument further. The suit is full of tricks you never know what she has. He says:In regards to redundant systems, if it isn't listed it in the profile it shouldn't be used. You can't just pull out items from the Swiss Army Knife Configuration to suit you needs.
I think somebody is grasping for straws.
EDIT:The truss manufacturer has come through. They are remaking my trusses to the correct length.
Should I mention his pistol is technically a firearm???
Yes, his grapple pistol is a firearm... Judges didn't seem to mind that? Hmmm.... And I want to know where this conversation is taking place! lol It sounds kinda funny with him trying to explain how ridiculous his own character is. ;D For real, there really needs to be some type of limit put in place regarding how much a character can do. I know folks are trying to be creative, but it is just too much. Instead of making his character only resistant to one type of thing (like fire), he made her resistant to almost everything...
Anyways, great to hear that the truss manufacturers are fixing the problem. Er, they are doing this free of charge... right?
And now I'm curious how much help you have. Are you doing all of this by yourself? I know you said that you had help during the weekend, but was that a one time deal?
Yeah, the replacements are free of charge. If I had to pay I would deal with another company rather than cough up more money their way. Once the foundation and floors were poured my wife and I are doing most of the work with the occasional hand from family. Especially if there is a lot of heavy lifting involved. If we have metal roofing installed I will farm out the work. It takes more time but we get more bang for the buck.
EDIT: Well, Bernard missed his chance to do something constructive with his life and play hero. If he had passed the observation roll and found the sniper he would have used a super leap and confront the masked villain. Guess fate would have it otherwise.

Ah, good to hear it was free of charge. I figured it was, but you know some people try to get greedy for extra money and charge you for the mistakes that they made. I had to ask to see if they were that type. Your project sounds like a lot of work, but at least you are saving the difference. I remember my family just tried painting the kitchen ourselves, it didn't go so well. lol So, yeah I don't think I'll be taking on a big project like yours any time soon. ;D
And Lol, Bernard will have another chance to play hero. It was logical that the vision didn't make sense. In fact, I wrote it out in chronological order, and then purposely copy and pasted it around so that it was jumbled. In real life sometimes we have strange dreams that don't always make sense; like in the movie Inception. I've decided to play on that, so from now on Bernard's (or any future members) dreams will be jumbled. I'll leave it up to the real life player to try and brain storm the images to make sense of them. I'm going to continue posting, so if Safi or Dennis decid to start playing again, they can jump in and join us...
Hopefully I can recruit some more people to fill in the gaps.
