Bio:
Jack Bennett, Chicago's finest detective...
Bennett was one of the top detectives in his area, always on top of his game and taking on the toughest cases. Jack had a seemingly happy life with his pretty wife, young daughter, nice car, and perfect house. He was happy with the way things were. Things weren't exactly perfect, but they were all happy. Until the day the "accident" happened.
Jack couldn't let it go. He took it upon himself to solve the mystery of his daughters death, and after awhile Jack's wife just couldn't take any more of it. They slowly began to drift apart. Jack was spending more and more time at work trying to find out what had happened to his daughter Noa, and less time at home.
Noa had been infected with the ozone virus ten years ago (2045). She had been fighting for her life for two years trying to get better, but eventually she passed away. But it wasn't HOW she died that had everyone questioning the event, it was more of what could have caused it to happen. It wasn't... normal...
Bennett knew that Hydra corp. were the ones behind the virus, and with permission from his boss he was allowed to look into it. But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't prove it. There was no evidence that Hydra corp. were the ones to release the virus.
Bennett spent the next five years trying to find a way to pin Hydra for the death of his daughter, suing them, coming up with wild accusations, staying up late at work, getting drunk, and locking himself away in his office for several days and working on theories to prove his case. Sadly, no matter how hard he worked he wasn't getting any closer to solving his so called "mystery". Every lead came up empty, every path a dead end. Bennett's wife asked him to go see a therapist, to get help. To get better...
But he didn't want to hear it. He told her that he was fine and that he was on the verge of a breakthrough, he told her he just needed more time.
Shortly after that talk, she filed for divorce and said she was going to move out until he got help. When Jack's coworkers at work heard about this, his boss told him to take some time off, to get his life sorted out. But Jack said that he was close to solving the case, he just needed a bit more time to find a new lead. His boss wouldn't listen, he told him that he was off the case and that he was suspended until further notice. He told him to hand over his badge and that he would say that Jack was on medical leave for their records. Jack's boss told him to go get his wife back and to leave the past in the past, that it was time to move on...
Jack had a fit, he knew that Hydra corp. was hiding something. Accidents like that didn't just happen by mistake. Because Bennett couldn't pin Hydra for the death of his own daughter, he figured he could pin them for the death of someone else. He began secretly searching for clues, hints, anything about Hydra that didn't seem legal. And that's when he found something...
Hydra corp. had built a secret facility on a small island not far from Australia. But the oddest news was that only a few years before his daughters death, there was a small explosion that had caused a minor earthquake that shook the whole island. He thought it would be a good idea to go investigate things to see where it led him. But the strangest thing of all, there was a city built right on top of where the explosion happen, yet every one that lived there said that the earthquake, nor the explosion ever happen. But to top things off, there was also a sudden spike with the people getting sick from the ozone virus in that area.
Bennett smelt a cover up...
He knew right away what he had to do. He told no one he was leaving, and left out to go get a new job at Osiris city. He succeeded, Osiris didn't have a detective with his skills, and he got the job with ease. He was assigned a partner named Jason Boone, to help him with any of his cases. Jason was new to the force, and it was Bennett's job to babysit him until the both of them got settled in. It didn't take long to convince Boone to help him look into Hydra corp's secret facility. But yet again, all they found were some useless documents saying that the explosion was nothing more then Hydra corp. doing a demolition test before building their new TOZ vaccine headquarters. Jack became frustrated, he wanted to throw in the towel.
Boone thought it was a good thing that they didn't find anything, he thought that Hydra corp. were heroes for saving the world and changing the way everyone used energy. Bennett told Boone that he was going to retire and go home to straighten out his life. Get his wife back and try to get help with his drinking problem. That it was time to stop blaming Hydra for his own problems. But the day before he went to hand in his badge and go home, Boone comes up missing. No one knows where he went, and people start saying they hadn't seen him for days, nor heard any word from him. Bennett starts to think he's going crazy until he goes to Boone's house. The whole place looked to be in order, until he kicked the door down and searched the place. Boone's bedroom was a mess. Clearly a struggle had taken place. There was a picture smashed on the floor, and a single bullet hole in the wall...
After testing the bullet fired from the gun to see who it belonged to, Jack found out it was fired from Boone's own gun, no traces of blood were found on the bullet though, meaning that he missed his attackers. With no blood in the room, and Boone missing, it only meant one thing: Boone was abducted. Jack didn't like the sound of that. He went back and got the old files he had found before, and once again started looking into Hydra corp's strange experiments. He didn't think it was a coincidence that Boone suddenly went missing just days after looking into Hydra corp's new facility. Now that Jack had a lead again, he asked his boss if he could look into Boone's disappearance, omitting the parts about Hydra corp. being involved. This town was hiding something, and Bennett was going to find out just what it was. If Bennett could find Boone, then maybe he could find out exactly what Hydra corp. was up to...
