Yeah, You would have to go to Carson for a hacker/forger. Alianna was on her way to being a hacker. Too bad he didn't stick around.

Anywho... After the show Bernard put on when breaking out of Hydra just the year before, I wouldn't think it be wise to go walking back into the building. Even with a disguise, if they were to catch him there would be no way out, and no allies to come rescue him. In the wise words of George W. Bush: "fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again."
Er... Which means they won't make the same mistake twice and let him escape again. ;D

And we did talk about the Shotgun and how you had intended to drop it with the other items in the water, but it was never properly clarified as what happen to it. As I mentioned before, the last time we heard about the shotgun in a post was on the bridge. So I had just assumed that was the last place he left it when he switched it for the SMG. But if he did have it with him, it does raise the question where he placed it. Was he dual wielding the SMG and shotgun at the same time during that shootout?

Since this is a Mystery RP, small details like that play a large part in the story for solving cases. Otherwise we don't know if he placed it back in his bag, dual wielded both, or dropped it on the ground when he changed weapons.
You can keep the item in the duffle bag this time. For story reasons I will edit the two posts with Carlyle stating that he found it...

I was well aware to the drawbacks of walking into Hydra. A serious set of obstacles face him if he were to break in and steal the equipment.
Carson as an ally is the best option until Bernard is established enough to branch out on his own. One does need somebody to watch their back from time to time.

I see your point about the TSG. Bernard never did fire the SMG on the bridge he only collected it and pointed the weapon. You seem to have missed the part where I said I would remove it from my inventory. Given the circumstances it would make sense that it was left behind.

EDIT: I see you have not edited as of yet. LEAVE IT AS IS!! I will have Bernard notice the shotgun is missing after he empties the duffle bag. Not like I paid for it anyways.

Yeah I didn't get around to editing yet. I guess it shall stay where it is.

Now that we are on Day four, I think I will start the random crime system. Which means Bernard could get mugged by some random low life hooligans.
I'm also going to start introducing more Sensitives to the RP. They will be both past heroes, and some low ranking villains.

I also need to go find out where Captain Jack went...

And I'll be sure to point out the hypocrisy of a jogger taking a taxi home from her run. All too convenient for Naida to end up at the Apartments as Bernard arrives.

It's too cold to keep jogging, and she also needs to go to the Slums to talk to some kids. She isn't doing that in sweaty jogging clothes.

My plans weren't for her to bump into Bernard. She shouldn't see him at the Apartments because she always takes the stairs up to her room. So unless he takes the stairs too, they shouldn't run into each other...

He had a duffle bag in the back seat stored with weapons, and he now slung the heavy bag over his shoulder and tucked the HAA pistol into the front of his pants. He wasn't planning on coming back to the car. He quickly Stood up and made his way over to the black SUV that was behind his hummer, the one the taxi had slammed into earlier.

That is when he switched and started using the SMG.
Shortly after that he got shot while behind the black SUV, the one the police later found the blood on.

It's no wonder she is out of shape. (Did I say that out loud??)

I didn't go back far enough in my search. It wasn't mentioned when Bernard took his initial shot with the shotgun and he fell back.

He let off a howl of rage as his hand was disabled and the SMG hit the ground. It was by pure luck that he recoiled backwards and spun to the side as the bullet tugged his gun hand along with it from the force.

As he fell back and landed on his forearm, the shotgun blast from Bernard's gun went off and passed by over his head, missing him by a mere two feet and slamming straight into the SUV behind him.

Geoffrey then shuffles around the side of the SUV for cover. For some reason I mentally thought the bag was still in the hummer which is why I went back.

I thought I had him leave it in the hummer too. >.>
I was going to have the police find the vehicle and the stolen goods in the back seat and then trace the finger prints back to Geoff. But I then stumbled across the post where he tucked the gun in his pants and took the bag with him. So I went with the blood on the car instead. I actually don't really remember writing that...

Anyways!
I'm going to try and bridge the gap between the police, Hydra, and the Aces. Since I wrote the story out from the perspective of the police and we don't have a detective playing that part, I thought it would just be better to play the story from the point of view from the criminal's side instead.

I think I'm going to have Naida play this out a lot differently than a cop would. Maybe her tactics will show better results and get her closer to solving the case.

EDIT: Not to make the same mistakes as the day before, Naida went back and ate a meal. She can now start her investigation without worrying about food. She is also now equipped to protect her hands and feet from the evil cold... and maybe a punksticker.
Hopefully it is enough to stay alive in the slums!

I was going to make him say something but at the end of your post it said he was going up to his room so I decided not to hold him up.

It didn't really matter either way. It was more just small talk but my work days have been brutal the past few days and I never made it back to my computer to post.

Bernard gets the muscle bound steroid abuser and Nadia gets a few adolescent kids. Pffft, I Hope she survives the ordeal.

Aye, no worries. You've been posting pretty consistently. I was hoping that a few non-eventful days went by in game anyways to help stretch out the main story. I don't like piling on one event after another. I try to get a few months in between so that players can get new gear or have some pointless yet fun conversations.
Which brings us to Bernard's interaction...

He now has a place to channel some of those violent frustrations he's been having. ;D
Besides, it's still not too late to walk away. No one would get hurt... except for maybe the poor little redhead.

And I noticed something with the random dice log. It isn't as "random" as it seems. I noticed that, lets say, there are two high rolls back to back, the next few rolls will be low rolls. It than decides to randomize and choose high rolls again. My point is, I think you can count the rolls with a bit of practice.

So the next one might be a second low roll, and then it will roll high again. I think I threw it off when I did the D10 rolls, so it had to Re-randomize again.
Anyways, the system isn't perfect but it was the best online dice roll program I could find.
