Well our combat simulation is nearing a conclusion and Ms. Sandmame could possibly dispatch (with a successful subdue roll next round) all three felons in the allotted five turn window before the master criminal arrives to find the mayhem that was left in the wake of the battle.
So perhaps you should roll up the "big baddie" and show her why he's the Bossman. ;D

Ya, rank 5 bad guys are pretty easy to dispatch. You took the first one out in almost two rounds if I remember right. And the next bad guy dropped in the two rounds that followed. From the looks of things, NPC battles are fine now. If this was a one on one fight it would have been over with in about four rounds at max.
I don't think the battles are long and drawn out any more. And somehow you seem to be getting extremely lucky high rolls. I guess the legendary curse of Dennis James has left the dice log. ;D
Oh one more thing! I haven't asked in a while, how is the house project going?
Stage One of the project should be complete by weeks end seeing the addition completely sealed and insulated against the elements. Wiring is already roughed roughed in and the gas fireplace has been installed. I also have the line installed once again for my gas barbecue so I can once again grill if I find the energy. The cabinets and appliances have arrived so I will be switching gears shortly and tearing out current flooring and cabinets and commence stage two. Somewhere in there I will squeeze in dry walling the addition and build a staircase from the basement to joint the main floor before Christmas. Still a lot to do but now I am not as reliant upon the weatherman to co-operate.
On a purely recreational note, I happened upon a theme for my next grassroots participant. I will pass along the preliminary character skeleton once I work out the rough details.
@bernard: Wow, sounds like a lot of work. When you first said you were doing the project I thought you were adding like a small expansion to the house. But you're doing fire places and staircases too!
Your small house project sounds like a full time job.
@kenny: I couldn't help but smile at your post. Kendra is awesome. lol
It has been slow the last several days. Hmm... Maybe I can get some more people posting, I've been advertising the site again. Hopefully people will take notice and sign up.

So sorry, Ash. I'm still here. A schedule change has effectively cut my free time for writing in half, so my replies are going to be slower. It sucks, but there's nothing I can do right now. I'm hoping it'll ease up again somewhere down the line.
Still lurking. I have been consumed as of late trying to make some headway on this reno project. It's getting there. We took the opportunity to clean up a good deal of the area and had Thanksgiving dinner out in the new space. As for RP, I'm taking a bit of a breather to unwind before entering the final round of Grassroots. Bernard isn't slated to emerge until evening when he can make his way to the club and the underground.
I was wondering where you went. Sounds like you had your hands full. Er... both of you have your hands full. I understand.
Ummm... You say Bernard is going to wait for night time, but I have stopped the day tracker at the moment since no one was posting. I have found a few people who say they might join, but we'll see how things go. Maybe one of the lurkers will make a shout out as a guest. I'll start posting again with my own characters as soon as we get some people in the city. I might move Nathan into his apartment just to start the new day off, and have Naida spend the night at Hydra HQ.
Anyways, I hope that the both of you guys are able to get a bit of free time. I'm looking forward to see what you post next. In the mean time, just keep me posted so I know you are still around.
Okay sooo.... I'm going to post later today and try to get things moving again. I wasn't posting before because I didn't know if anyone would be reading it, but I guess it doesn't matter. Maybe an active board will spark some interest. I have a story line for Naida, Rycroft, and Bernard, so I'll get that started. And maybe Kenny can finish her training soon.
I'll also post something in the streets so that Bernard doesn't have to sleep through the entire day, just to meet Carson at night. I'll create a bit of drama for him.
In other news! I'm a bit excited today because I finally convinced my younger brother and sister to take Guitar lessons, so I'll be teaching them a few of the basics today. They caught on so fast that they can actually start playing a few songs now and that was only a single lesson. So I think I'll push them a bit further just to see if they can play something a bit more complex. I already put their lesson together for what they will be learning, so everything is set and ready to go.
I was just kinda happy about that and thought to share. ;D

Okay, well... I have an important announcement to make.
I'm going to close the site down because it is so inactive. I don't really feel like role playing any more, or trying to promote the site to gain more active members. The site was a lot more fun to build then it was to actually role play out. It has now been about one year since I first put the site together, and it doesn't really feel like it has gone any where. I put a lot of effort into running the site, but no one was really posting, logging on, or taking the RP seriously.
I have already disabled all of the IC boards for the site. Meaning that you cannot post in character. The Out of character boards are still active, so the few members that are signed up can continue to post within them (meaning that the Heroes lounge is still active). I did read Bernard's final post, but as I said, I just don't feel like playing any more. And that goes for all role playing in general, not just this site. Maybe one day when I feel like it I'll relaunch the site to try and continue the story...
Until then, Former Glory will be officially closed until further notice.
