((Thought- effects remain for the duration of the fight. Or should the wear off?? Ie Keiko rolls next round (50+ to regain normal breathing). In this manner a similar blow that follows could possibly add an additional penalty. Or to forgo any her attack negate the negative effects without the need to roll.))
So much to consider! Let's consider it as a status effect though. I say roll for it. It could be complex, but what if every shot from now on was considered a status effecting blow?
For example, you punch someone in the face, even if it wasn't your intent, the affect would be to daze the opponent, and thus you have to roll for it?
So Merle kicks Keiko in the ribs, she is now winded if you roll 49 or lower because the defender couldn't recover (from the attacker's end, Merle would have to roll 50+ to wind Keiko, etc).
So to carry on with where we left off as example:
Keiko attacks 46-0 (Target) -10 (effect) -20 (offhand) Does Strength give an ACC bonus ie overpowering opponent?
Keiko attacks 46-0 (Target) -10 (effect) -20 (offhand) Does Strength give an ACC bonus ie overpowering opponent?
It looks like you made all the rolls to carry out the rest of the fight? If so, it looks like you already planned out Merle's actions. A bit confused here. If so, we can do that. I just don't know how to continue lol. Let's decide on where we're going with this and what combat system we're using.
If we're doing the 50 base damage so that a hit is a hit is a hit, and the -20 offhand penalty, I have no problem with that. We just need to settle on a system and stick with it. I've been so busy lately I forgot what we discussed back in late fall/early winter.
