((I'll go on and have her answer the question. I'll try my best to stream it together...))
“Is it like Miss Saint-John fall out of touch like this?”
While Bernard read the letter Cassie had to think about the question a bit. "I don't think so. I can't remember her just not showing up like this. Even if she is working a case she normally calls or leaves some type of note behind. For now, one of our TV Producers came in to run things while she is away. I hope everything is alright."
“Thank you Cassie. I think I will leave a note of my own in case Miss Saint-John returns while I chase this lead.
The receptionist nodded her head. "Let me know if you find anything. I'll give her the note if she comes around." She took the note, scribbled something down in her book, and placed the paper under her desk.

The Taxi made its way to the Government district and headed to the News station. There were dozens of police officers in the streets armed with riot shields and sub machine guns, but they waved the taxi through to get by. It appeared that they were standing guard and waiting for something... Or, someone.
Bianca looked to Bernard before getting out of the car. "No, nothing about coordinates but from what I put together it sounded like he drove through the front door. I'll give him a call later and ask him for details. I'm sure he saved the information to his computer."
She opened the door and gave Bernard a weak smile. "I'll be better when things return to normal. Let's just get this over with. Security is heavy because of the gang activity, so try to stay close." She stepped out and walked through the front door of the building and proceeded to go to the front desk. She put on a fake big smile and rapped her knuckles on the top of the desk, which caused the young woman to look up with a mix of surprise and delight.
"I'm not dead, I'm doing just fine. But it is very important that I talk to the person in charge and make an announcement about where I've been. I was kidnapped for the past few days and I need to tell the public about this as soon as possible, Can you help me out?"
The young woman eagerly nodded her head and quickly picked up the phone. "Yes, Miss Saint-John. Please, head on upstairs and I will tell them to prepare the cameras for your announcement, everyone has been worried sick! I'm glad you're okay!"
"So am I. This is my assistant, he is with me." She waved a hand towards Bernard.
"Of course, there will be no trouble."
Bianca nodded her head to Bernard and headed for the elevator to go up to the main work station where they filmed and broadcast the news.

((Observation-Did you catch that? - roll = 03+ 25)) ((SP=35 0f 36/40 Exp 6/8)) ----- The vast numerical presence of OPD garbed in riot gear wielding with machine guns made the fugitive Sensitive uneasy as the taxi made its way through the government district toward the news station. Nearing their destination it appeared that the police presence multiplied as if some significant event was expected. The yellow shuttle however was waved through unimpeded aided by the ID that was flashed by the reported beside him.
Bianca spoke briefly regarding inquiries before issuing her traveling companion one last imperative before stepping out of the cab. Even with the heavy rains the crowds were thick and the Sensitive heeded the waning to stay close, pushing his way through the crowd upon the reporter’s coat tails as the pair made their way to the front doors to the lobby. Once inside and free from the congregated mob of civilians and police outside the doors, they were able to quickly make their way to the front desk where the young receptionist looked on with surprised delight.
The Sensitive had managed to catch a glimpse of what the reporter was saying picking up on such phrases as “ talk to the man in charge”; “ I need to tell..” and asking the girl behind the counter to ‘help her out” ; to which the young blonde eagerly bobbed her head up and down. After another short exchange with the woman at the desk Bianca waved her hand towards Bernard. He had tried to read the receptionist lips to pick up on more of the conversation only to pick up on the final words that rolled from her ruby red lips.
"Of course, …..no trouble."
"Odd? What just transpired here?" Bernard thought as Bianca nodded her head toward him and headed for the elevator. Still he did as requested, staying close and following her to her destination. Despite his doubts, there were no premonitions of immediate danger cycling in his head as the small enclosure climbed upward. Still, he asked ”Everything alright?”

Bianca looked to Bernard and gave him a nervous smile and a thumbs up. "So far so good."
She pressed the button on the elevator and it took them to the next floor. As soon as the doors opened They were greeted by loud cheers and applause from everyone within the building. A large crowd of the employees crowded around the elevator and began asking questions at once, and Bianca had to raise a hand to silence.
"Wait, wait! Everyone backup. Quiet down please!" She yelled out as she put both hands in the air. the room fell silent but everyone still had eager looks on their face. And then, a man pushed his way through the crowd and made his way to the front.
He spoke to Bianca. "Bianca, good to see you are safe. I've been running things while you were away." He gave her a fake looking smile that quickly faded.
"We are all dying to know, what happened?"
Bianca looked to Bernard but waved a hand at the man speaking. "This is the executive producer of the Daily chronicle, Alan Washington." She now looked to Alan.
"Thank you Alan, but it is of the utmost importance that I make my announcement now. I will answer all of your questions later. The public needs to know what happened."
He looked slightly annoyed at this. "No one gave permission for this. This announcement would be unsupervised without any prior planning..."
"But I am charge, I am the general manager and the editor in chief. I give permission for this story to air." Bianca shot back.
He stopped to think about it for a second. "Well, it would bring in good ratings... Very well. The cameras are setup and ready to roll. This better be good though, we are bringing in a lot of views from the Mayor's daughter kidnapping and the city riot in the Government district."
She looked to Bernard and waved him on. "I'll only be on for a few minutes. Come on, let's go."
She made her way over to the filming area and prepared for her announcement. Ron the camera man ran over and held up his fingers as he counted her down to go live...

((Observation- Armed and dangerous?-roll=75 +25= 100)) ----
The elevator doors opened and Bianca’s arrival was met by cheers and applause or so the deaf Sensitive had interpreted. It was at that point he realized just how much he had missed the jubilated fanfare of his high school playing days. By this time the female reporter had raised both hands in the air hushing the crowd as a man pushed his way to the front of the crowd. The aggressive action did not go unnoticed as the diligent companion placed a watchful eye upon the approaching subject trying to discern whether or not the suit posed a threat.
He was so intent on his search for concealed weapons he had missed the words that came from the man’s mouth. Bernard was still making his assessment as Bianca waved to get his attention. Her comfortable familiarity with the individual she introduced as the executive producer of the Daily chronicle afforded him the means to lower his guard. The two Chronicle employees continued in a heated verbal exchange before Bianca waved for Bernard to follow.
Bernard followed her over to the filming area where they were met by a camera man who ran over and held up his fingers as he counted her down to go live... The Sensitive made sure he was well clear of the shot as Bianca stood behind the podium and delivered her address. The speech was almost verbatim from the plug he had suggested she employ, apart from the part regarding the gangs being brought to justice.
Still, the message was delivered. The Sensitive hoped the usage of the ‘Omen’ moniker would bring Naida to him. It was risky giving the Hydra agent a viable lead to follow, but Bernard couldn’t help but wonder if she somehow was the glue to the pieces he held. Only time would tell if he was right to trust his instincts.

After giving her message to the public and the cameraman waved the all clear, Bianca walked away from the podium to talk with Bernard. They wouldn't have much time to talk because she would be swarmed with questions from her comrades soon, she would answer their questions, but first she wanted see what Bernard had to say and what his thoughts were.
"Not sure if you could hear or not but, how did I do?"
She waited a bit for his reply before asking the next obvious question.
"Now that I went public, what do we do now? What's our next move?"

”You did well.” Bernard confirmed wrapping his arm around her shoulder in a friendly consoling hug.”A little over the top at the end calling for all involved to be brought to justice. Instead of distancing yourself from the gangs you may have put the bull’s-eye on your chest."
"What’s done is done. Judging by the approaching swarm, you’re about to get bombarded with questions regarding your escape. What we need now is for the Mayor to accept your support and see if we can locate his daughter before things get out of hand. The clock is ticking and this day isn’t getting any younger. Keep it brief we've got work to do."
”You think we can get a hold of that news chopper and land it on the roof of the Mayor’s office. At least then we could bypass some of the chaos out on the streets. Maybe it will buy us a little time.”

Bianca had actually completely forgotten about the news chopper. Flying would be a fast and easy way to reach the Mayor without having to interact with the rioting gangs. "Don't worry, I'll keep things short. I don't want to let the cat out of the bag yet about Carson so I'll keep my lips sealed the best I can. I also need to actually give my statement to the police because I told a bit of a lie on TV, but I don't think anyone will notice with the riot going on. And the helicopter is a great idea! I can't fly it but I know a few people who can. I'll meet you up on the roof with the pilot. I'll be back in a bit."
Bianca walked away to receive hugs, greetings, and questions from her colleagues as they welcomed her back and asked her in more detail about what happened. She talked a bit, but she danced around their questions and avoided the details as best she could. She then waved them off and walked away to locate the copter pilot.
After that they would be off to find the Mayor.

((Observation-Blind spots- Roll =95+20= where did that roll come from?)) ((Heat- warm and dry- roll =98 another one wasted)) SP 35-1/36 of 40 Exp: 7/8 ------ Bernard followed Bianca’s instructions to the letter and soon found himself at the access door to the Chronicle’s rooftop. Keying in the code provided by the reporter the electronic latch released and the Sensitive pushed the metal door open. He stood at the threshold away from the persistent downpour that had marked the day, monitoring the panning security cameras to find a blind spot.
While he couldn’t be totally sure of his success the camera shy blonde made his way to the invisible refuge he had discovered near the chopper. Once inside the sanctuary Bernard removed the blonde wig and pulled the grey bandana from his pocket tying it around his jaw like some cowboy from the Wild West. Next he hid his eyes behind the large reflective lenses of the specialized goggles he had snapped into place. Finally, the transformation was completed masked further by the shadows created by the light grey hood from the sweat top he wore beneath the oversized dark leather jacket.
The Sensitive waited patiently, using a small portion of his power to keep warm and dry, under a small overhang, until Bianca and the pilot emerged topside. Bernard spoke as he approached the pair hoping to avoid any alarm that may be created by his change of persona.
“Have you contacted Bronson?” He addressed the female reporter. “I’m sure security will be heavy given the Mayor’s current circumstances. No use showing up at his door if he isn’t receiving any visitors.”

Bianca ran through the rain and climbed into the passenger side of the helicopter. She put the headset on and proceeded to buckle herself in. The pilot climbed in and did the same thing as Bianca as he got situated and started up the helicopter.
She unhooked another pair of the headphones and passed them back to Bernard out of habit so that he could hear over the engines.
Bianca turned to face Bernard as they waited for the helicopter blades to pickup speed. "I haven't called him yet, but sources inside our news room said that there were reports that the Mayor has left his office and was spotted gunning down gang members outside of his office. Reports say he is slowly making his way North, so we might be able to land nearby and pick him up. The gangs are trying to break through the police force escorting him. It sounds like they may be on foot." She yelled over the rising sound of the helicopter engines.
The pilot turned around to face Bernard and then glanced at Bianca. "Hold on tight, the strong winds and heavy rain will make this a bumpy ride. I'll get you where you need to go though without any problems."
And with that he lifted the chopper and headed south for the Mayor's office.
