Carlyle’s devilish smile grew as he extended a pasty white paw through the bars. Her skin crawled, repulsed by the thought as she starred at the offering. Had it really come to this? There was an uncomfortable knot forming in her stomach.
”I’d rather got to jail than to give in to your blackmail” She spurted vehemently. ”I’m a good cop James. I told you, I did what I had to do. You wanted a body, …..proof. ……now you have it.”
She had sealed her fate.Beaten and dejected, she moved to the back of the cell and sat upon the cold concrete bench that was to be her bed. She hung her head, starring at the floor as she uttered her final remark.
”You will find out soon enough, the man in autopsy was declared deceased over a year ago; taking his own life in a suicide bombing at Narita International Airport Tokyo, Japan. April 18,2017. My sister, Ayako was critically injured in that blast. ”
”Sound familiar James??” ”It Should.” ”The terrorist; the man on the table, one in the same. My uncle Otsuki Ayamachi.”
Upon uttering the name, she looked up from her position upon the bench meeting the gaze of the arrogant Deputy Chief of Detectives on the other side of the bars with tear fill eyes. ”Now if you wouldn't mind, I’d like that lawyer now.”

Carlyle raised an eyebrow at her remarks about her uncle, but his expression didn't falter, instead, he looked more-so amused by the entire thing.
”Now if you wouldn't mind, I’d like that lawyer now.”
"Hmm... Have it your way, Hyogo. Just know, things won't get easier from here on out." Carlyle's smirk never left his face. He looked her up and down, straightened his tie, and turned away to leave the holding cell area. Keiko was left in the cell for the remainder of the evening, and it was only until about 10:00 AM the following morning did the holding area door open again and a large, well dressed black walked in holding a briefcase, followed by another officer.
"Miss Hyogo, my name is Duncan Ward, I will be your court appointed lawyer. Don't worry, everything will be okay. This officer will lead us to one of the meeting rooms where we can discuss your case in private. I'll also arrange to get you some food and anything else you might need."
The officer unlocked her cell door and stood to the side to allow her to step out.
((you can move things forward from here if you want... to be honest, I'm not entirely sure how these things normally play out))

Keiko sat patiently directly across from Duncan as he sifted through the brown leather bound briefcase upon the table. The enormous African American man was a menacing sight to behold making the large rectangular table seem like a child’s desk before him. He placed a small stack of papers, a pen and a recorder on the table. His thick fingers pushed the record button and he cleared his throat.
”Shall we begin.” He asked in a deep melodious voice.
”Have I been charged” She asked.
”Not yet. It’s not unusual to use the full twenty-four hours to build a case where officers are involved. Wouldn’t want to soil anyone’s career unnecessarily.”
”Don’t think that matters much to the Chief Inspector where I’m involved.”
”That’s why I’m here Keiko”
”Thank you”She said
”Don’t thank me yet we have a long way to go. You can start by telling me your story. ”
”Like I told the Chief Inspector. I did what I had to”
Duncan responded.”Sounds a lot like an admission of guilt.”
”I don’t regret what I’ve done." Keiko admitted. "I would do it again if I had to. Knowing the history I don’t think he could be brought in any other way.”
She went on to describe the man in autopsy in much the same manner as she had described to Carlyle before elaborating.
”I could have stopped all this a year ago. Despite the danger, naive optimism prevailed and forbade me to take the shot. I’ve seen what that man became. The destruction he’s caused. The lives he’s destroyed. Nobody cared to believe in tales of an exploding man.”
“Once I pieced it together, I couldn’t just sit on the sidelines and wait for it to happen again. Something had to be done. I got them their proof. We’ll see how believable this all gets if that body gets up from that autopsy table. I only hope they are prepared for what that may look like if it does.”

Duncan listened to her talk intently. He folded his hands together and nodded his head as if he now understood the full situation and what he was getting into.
"I'm sorry for what you had to go through, miss Hyogo. I'm sure the journey up to this point must have been very difficult. I can assure you that I will help you get through this." He said. He clicked his pen and made a few notes in his notebook before continuing.
"I'm not saying I doubt you, but if what you say is true, the records should show that the man you killed was already deceased. We will have to proceed carefully from here to prove what you say, but I'm confident that the evidence will work in your favor when we get back the full autopsy report. But in order to help you, I need a bit more information. If you don't mind me asking... how exactly did you find him? And what were you doing back at the crime scene?"

”I was following a hunch” She explained clearing away they dinner tray to the side and placing an empty glass in front of her and filling it with hot water from the tea pot from the tray.
”There appeared to be no physical evidence at the scene substantiating any claim of an exploding man. Incinerated in the blast? Like Tokyo? But matter doesn’t simply disappear does it?” Keiko explained grabbing a spoon and stirring the contents of a few salt packets she had added into the hot water as she spoke.
~Clank, clank, clank~ The sharp tone echoed off the walls of the small barren room.
” Like the salt in this water, the evidence is there we just needed to know how to look at it. I stumbled upon the answer by accident."
”Maseko was covered in it; particles invisible to the naked eye that glowed intensely when bombarded by ultra-violet light. It’s what gave the glowing man that eerie yellowish luminosity. The crime scene lit up like the Las Vegas strip. If you expose the man in autopsy as described the results would reflect my inference.”
”Atsuko’s body contained traces of the same particles. Exposed in the explosion at Nariata International. So how does somebody vanish without a trace? Only to turn up again several months later. Maybe he was there all along. You ever grow salt crystals as a kid Duncan?’ Keiko wrapped the tagged string from the tea bag around the spoon and dangled it the hot water solution.
”By chance I found Otsuki Ayamachi reforming in the dumpster. I couldn’t let the experiment continue.”

((I don't know why, but this part of the roleplay is extremely difficult to write. Posts aren't coming to me smoothly...))
Duncan frowned and nodded his head. "I see..." he said thoughtfully. "I don't think you'll have anything to worry about, miss Hyogo. I will do everything in my power to get you out of this, but first I need to look into this in more detail and put together a full report. Just sit tight and you'll be out of this in no time." he reassured.
"Let's get you back in your cell and I'll be back as soon as I can with an update."
He stood to his feet and gathered his paperwork as they parted ways. The security guards walked over and grabbed Keiko by her arms to escort her back to her jail cell.
Sometime later... the body of Otsuki Ayamachi, went missing from the morgue... the police force went into a frenzy as they began to search to figure out what happened, and whispers and rumors began to circulate that Keiko would be released due to a lack of incriminating evidence...

((I agree, I’m having my difficulties as well....))
It wasn’t long after Keiko woke did the rumblings and rumors of Otsuki Ayamachi’s disappearance reached the captive detective’s augmented hearing. She had recklessly gone out on a limb to put an end to this folly but her efforts seemingly only served to defer the inevitable. A highly dangerous Sensitive was once again roaming on the streets Osiris.
The station house was in a desperate frenzy trying to figure out how such a feat could have happened. None of it made much sense. Well versed in the facts in the case, the recently awakened female was already several steps ahead of their thought process. The victim simply got up and left. Nobody would believe it. Why would they? Dead is dead right??? She once believed that principle herself.
"How do you stop a man than just won’t die?" She thought. She would explore that conundrum in time. Right now she had to find him.
Keiko tightly gripped the bars of her cell as she desperately tried to get the attention of anyone who would listen. ”Carlyle.” She shouted. ”You’re wasting valuable time. I can help!”
”CARLYLE!”

"Knock off all the noise!" came the reply from the hall as one of the guards opened the door and walked into the holding cell area.
"Carlyle is busy right now, he won't be back for some time. However, he left us with clear instructions. No chargers will be pressed against you, apparently there isn't enough evidence after the body disappeared..." the guard seemed annoyed when he said the words. He stared at her for a second, reached for the side of his belt and removed his keyring. He unlocked Keiko's cell and opened the door, stepping to the side to let her pass him.
"If you have any questions, you can ask Carlyle tomorrow morning... but you're free to go."

Keiko almost couldn’t believe her ears as the cantankerous guard opened the door to her holding cell and stepped aside, She stood there dumbfounded as she played the guard’s announcement back in her mind. [/b]“No charges will be pressed against you... you're free to go."”[/b].
It had to be a trick. What was she missing? The playback continued in an endless loop. ” "If you have any questions, you can ask Carlyle tomorrow morning... but you're free to go."
Warily she stepped out of her prison.
”I’d like to collect my things if you don’t mind.” She insisted.
”I will take you to the property clerk.” The guard responded flatly preoccupied by the frenzied activity of the search. ”They will see to your request.”
Keiko was escorted through bustling hallways of the detention area in silence. As the approached the property clerk’s chambers she turned to the guard to offer a small bit of insight. ”I’m on your side.” She stated.
”Let’s not pretend.”He remarked coldly.”Your free pass will be revoked soon after the body is recovered. This is a temporary arrangement.”
”That may be but I want justice to be served just as you.”
”Humph” He snickered before addressing the clerk.”Hyogo, Kei to gather her property.
The clerk began diligently referencing the information.
”Have the search party try ultraviolet lighting to pick up a trail. The body in question glowed when subjected to the electromagnetic radiation. You might find some trace left behind to follow. I told you I’m on your side.” She pleaded.
It was a long shot. She was well aware that he words of wisdom carried very little weight at the moment. She wasn’t the bad guy in all of this.
The clerk interrupted. ”I’m afraid there isn’t anything I can do for you. All items recovered are being held as evidence.”
”Fine! Keep them!” She blurted angrily before turning to leave. ”I’ll have my lawyer look into the legality of this seizure.” With that outburst, Officer Keiko was forcibly escorted from the premises.
”Knew that you that you weren’t as innocent as you implied.” Officer Pettigrew remarked. ”Only the guilty hide behind lawyers. Keep him close Hyogo. Keep him close.
