~ How Abilities Work ~
------------------------------
Skills are Special Talents for your characters that will add a stat bonus to make your rolls more successful. However, to make the skills more interesting you will use the Dice Log to determine if you performed the skill successfully. You can read here to see how skills work. Players can only use skills that they have unlocked.
=====================================
-Basic Abilities-
=====================================
*Search: You look in the area for something that you may have missed. If you have Observation you will gain a bonus for using this skill. Roll 50 or higher for a successful chance roll.
*Subdue: You hold the person down causing them to no longer be able to fight or escape. This skill will automatically end all battles in your favor and will be used as your attacking turn. In battles you must roll 50 or higher for a successful chance roll. Enemy target cannot counter or stop being subdued.
(Target's HP must be 60 or lower)
All players start with these two basic abilities and may use them as much as they like. You do not have to add them to your skill list. *These two skills have NO roll bonuses. They are base skills.
1. Disable Weapon- Disarm:
-Requires Agility Skill-
You will move lightning fast and disable your opponent's weapon.
Often used as a blunt strike/disarm move to make your opponent stop fighting for a short time. This may also be used to shoot your opponent's hand with your gun before they are able to attack you. This move will cancel your enemies next attack turn by making them have to pick their weapon back up or switch equipment.

2. Weapon/Armor Breaker:
-Requires Strength Skill-
If you have the Strength skill you may break your opponents weapon or armor, causing it to be useless for the rest of the battle. This move will cancel your enemies next attack turn as the crushing force stuns them. This skill may be useless for Sensitives that have destructive powers because they will be able to destroy weapons and buildings on their own.
Stats:
-Locked-
3. Counter Attack:
This skill combines both your evasion and accuracy rolls together to counter the attack with one of your own. Your accuracy roll will simply take over, and if successful, you will cancel your opponent's incoming attack and receive NO damage. If you fail, you will take full damage. (Your Accuracy roll must be higher than your opponent's Accuracy roll).
Stats:
-Locked-
4. Elite Striker:
This skill can attack ALL opponents around you. You will roll once for every opponent you want to attack and that one accuracy roll will be used to deal damage to all opponents in the area. Think of this as a burst fire attack with a gun (completely empties clip), or a deadly melee combo that hits everyone in the area. This is good when you are fighting 10 enemies or more in tight situations. However, low rolls may prove this skill to be useless when you first start out because of the low attack bonus. If used correctly, you may be able to kill every single opponent in one turn...

5. Defensive stance:
You position yourself to dodge all incoming bullets, sword swings, or wild punches aimed in your direction.
Stats:
-Locked-
6. Wounding blow (Melee only):
You attack the target in a critical point; wounding them to do massive damage. This move won't kill them instantly, but it will slow them down for the rest of the fight. Instantly triggers Status effect on hit. There is no need to make the 50/50 chance roll, if this attack hits, the target WILL be wounded.
Stats:

7. Brawler (Melee only):
You are a master of melee combat, your fists are your weapon of choice, but you can also use swords, clubs, and other forms of melee weapons with deadly precision.
Stats:
-Locked-
8. Berserker (Melee only):
You go into an uncontrollable rage, attacking with devastating force to clobber your opponent, but you completely disregard your defensive abilities.
Stats:

9. Guardian:
You take cover to defend yourself or someone else nearby, protecting them with your life from all incoming attacks. However, you can't attack while you are guarding.

-Powered/Ranged Abilities-
=====================================
NOTE: Melee attacks cannot use these skills.
1.Marksman (Firearm/Long Range Power Only):
Required for using firearms or shooting your powers from long range accurately. Very useful when you're either not close enough or simply want to take your time to aim and take out your enemy with a well timed attack. A must have skill for gun lovers.
Stats:
-Locked-
2. Double Shot:
You use two bullets to take down a single target, this skill can also be used as a melee combo attack. This is a weak skill when starting out but at max level you will get a huge attack bonus.
Stats:
-Locked-
3. Short burst:
You shoot off several bullets to take down up to four different targets. (+4 attacks. Can focus attack on one enemy as well). This attack lets you roll once for every bullet fired, this is like getting four attacks in one turn. However, you will receive a -5 Accuracy penalty for each attack.This attack can do massive amounts of damage, but only if you don't miss...
Stats:

4. Suppressing fire:
You shoot at a target while taking cover. This move is pretty much useless in a one on one fight, but if you have a partner it can do devastating damage. By raining down random heavy fire on your target's position you pin them down, causing them to hide and not be able to move, nor fire back at you while your partner flanks them or covers your retreat. If you are lucky one of your shots might hit them, but that is rare. If done correctly your partner will be able to flank your target to take the kill shot and end the battle.

-Special Talent Abilities-
=====================================
1. Quick Draw:
You move with lightning fast speed to get two attack turns before your opponent has a chance to react and draw their weapon. Because your opponent hasn't drawn their weapon yet, there is no need for an Evasion roll, so you replace it with a second Accuracy roll. Alternatively, you can use this skill to quickly switch weapons during battle by sacrificing one of your accuracy attack turns. Just make sure you don't mess up and drop your weapon...
Stats:
-Locked-
2. Sneak Attack:
(Must first roll successfully with either Distraction or the Stealth skill)
You sneak up on your opponent, hitting them in just the right spot to knock them unconscious. This move will knock your opponent out for 2 rounds. This move is the same as subduing enemies, except you now get a bonus for doing it right. This will replace your attacking turn. You may also use this as a fatal kill attack.
Stats:
-Locked-
3. Distraction:
You make a loud, odd sounding noise to lure targets away from a certain area without being noticed by them. Or perhaps, you want all the attention on you while your friend sneaks away. This is useful for sneaking into guarded areas without killing or knocking the person out, or alternatively forcing all search/detection rolls to your location.
Stats:

4. Advanced Driving/Flying:
This skill will give you a roll bonus for travel related actions. Whether it be a high speed chase or rushing to the scene of a crime, you now maneuver like a pro.

Stats:

3. Dual wield:
Able to use two weapons at one time as long as you are strong enough to lift them both. This serves as giving you two attack rolls (One for each weapon) instead of just one attack turn. The downside is that your weapons will take up extra space, guns will use twice as much ammo, and they may be easily spotted by authorities. This may attract unwanted attention to yourself. Without this skill you cannot use two weapons at the same time in combat.

You must remake a successful stealth roll to go back to hiding after every attack roll.

1. Focus:This is a unique ability only for Sensitives that allows players to charge up attacks or skills for an added bonus (Think Goku's Spirit bomb). Players cannot start with this ability, instead you must unlock it by completing a special task. If you are in combat, this bonus will add to either your Accuracy or Evasion bonus. If you are using Focus to attack it will be combined with your Unarmed base damage, PLUS any SP you pump into it. The accuracy roll will be the same as your total charging power, and that number will also be the total amount of damage that you do to your target.
