It was those words that followed left their mark confirming her earlier suspicions. The Kingfisher was in fact the sketch artist Abigail Holmes. And from what Keiko had gleaned thus far wasn’t deserving of death.
"Times up..." Damien interrupted.”"I told you, you all talk too much. As the Detective here said, the building is surrounded. I just needed to keep the two of you here for awhile...
Something was wrong. Definitely wrong. Keiko ended the open channel and began scouring nearby radio frequencies for signs of activity.
Panic crossed the Asian Detective’s face at the intercepted message.
”Move the strike team in! Permission to use lethal force. Kill everyone inside! The mysterious voice commanded.
"Affirmative!" came another voice.
”YOU KNEW!” Keiko exploded at the man secured to the bed. ”And all you wanted was to take somebody with you!”
Keiko was furious. So furious in fact that she had missed the amendment to the executive order during her rant. If she had access to her sidearm she might just put a bullet in the smug asshole’s head herself. But where would that get her? She was reminded of the circumstances following the execution of her uncle.
"Roger that. Moving in." The strike leader confirmed.
”Bastard.” Keiko spat before turning her attention to the Kingfisher.
”If you’re going to make your exit sweetie now’s the time. The noose is closing quickly and we’re out of time. I’ll be right behind you. I don’t know what you two are into but I’m not about to stand around to be a victim of circumstance.” the detective commented.
((And out the window they went))
”Maybe if we get out of this alive you can explain exactly what the hell is going on.” Keiko inquired as she slid down the rope behind the blue clad female touching down on the hospital grounds below. .
