Welcome to the slums of Osiris, located at the South western most part of the city. The current area is never shown in the commercials when they are trying to get people to visit. This is part of the original city before Hydra corp came in to make the city what it is today. All the poor people that couldn't afford to upgrade and make the change to keep up with the newcomers got left behind and "abandon" if you will, to fend for them selves. Because the police are paid to protect the suburbs and residential districts this area is full of crime and gang members. It is the worst part of the city, but strangely enough they have a code of honor. They all stick together and help each other out to survive. If you aren't from these parts or you sell out to move to a nicer part of the city, prepare to be targeted as a victim to crime.
You may have a taxi or bus take you anywhere in the city. There are pay phones and signs for you to call one.

((Oh gosh, I haven't posted with Naida in such a long time... I am aware the timeline is messed up, I've been busy and have had a hard time posting. Work with me here! I'll try to fill in the gaps and catch her up to speed.))
"Stay here and watch this guy while I go grab a phone and some food." Arctic Butterfly instructed as she stood up and headed west towards the Casa del Luna and the megoMart shopping complex. Naida sat on the sidewalk, breathing hard from exhaustion and fatigue. Normally the Ace thugs would cause trouble by trying to fight or run away, but now that they were safe from danger and topside they could both see that the city was in ruins. The power was out, the streets were severely damaged and there were scared and panicking people running back and forth. About fifteen minutes went by before Arctic Butterfly returned with bags of food and a burner phone.
"Here eat this... No one was serving food at the restaurant so I took what I could find." She said as she handed Naida and the Ace thug a bag full of food. Naida gladly accepted it and took a peek inside. The contents of the food was a mess of meat and vegetables tossed into the bag, but at this point neither one of them cared and they dug in to eat it with their fingers to fill their starving bellies.
Butterfly continued talking. "The main power is out, but I was able to reach Hydra secure line. They have a team nearby coming to pick us up, they'll be here soon."
"What happened? Everything seems like a mess..." Naida asked.
"Apparently the Aces decided not to wait any longer and blew the charges in the tunnels, causing widespread damage throughout the city. The police station is overworked and is losing control and they need assistance. For now we'll go back to base and rest up. HQ will give us orders from there." Butterfly responded.
"W-what about me?" The thug asked.
"We made a deal. You will be safe and taken care of. Our agents will ask you a few questions and we'll go from there. For now, just eat and we will provide you a place to sleep for the night."
About five minutes went by before a Hydra convoy arrived to pick the trio up and return them back to Hydra HQ. The ride was slow and tedious since the streets had collapsed, a lot of detours had to be made to navigate the city just to get back to base and the streets were now filled with scared and angry citizens running amok blocking the way, but the group eventually made it back to Hydra HQ safely. Naida and Butterfly got out of the escort van and walked inside the building. Security immediately took the Ace into custody and walked him off to the detention facility for questioning.
"This way ma'am, we have a Vita-tank prepped and ready for you as well as a fresh pair of clothing. As soon as you wake we will debrief you and fill you in on what is currently happening in the city." One of the agents said as he waved Naida to the hospital labs. She complied and did as she was told, stripped out of her black and yellow combat suit into her underwear and climbed into the rejuvenation tank for healing. It didn't take long for her to sink into a blissful sleep as the healing tank took effect...

The trio exited Exxel, Merle and Maseko on each side of their inebriated companion for support as they poured the off key diva bellowing the lyrics of Sum 41’s ‘Pieces to an unappreciative audience.
”Sorry” Maseko apologized for intoxicated serenade of her sister. ”Soaring Heights Apartment complex.”
”Not the first time” The driver commented. ”Believe it or not, not the worst either. The pair chuckled at the thought as they pulled away.
”…..better off on my own.” Keiko howled.
”SHHHH!! Quiet Kei” Maseko instructed trying to pick up the news feed over the radio.
”Don’t shush me!” Keiko fired back continuing on in song.
”ENOUGH!!” Her sibling insisted ”I’m trying to…..”
The words to Keiko’s musical rendition slowly fell off into silence……..
"We are purists that believe that we must fight to preserve human lives before we are wiped out by the plague of Sensitives, Consumers, and Augmented abominations that threaten our everyday lives! We currently control District Zero and have declared it the property of the Purists! We will not harm the workers in our possession as long as you follow our demands! This is now our District, you will be wise to stay away! Do not send any agents, police, or law enforcement of any kind or we will take action! We will make another announcement in two days. The men will not be harmed in that time as long as you follow our demands!"
”That sounds ominous.” Merle replied. ”Homegrown terrorists, kidnapping. When will this city ever catch a break?”
Just then Maseko’s phone buzzed. A sullen look crossed her face.
”Well looks like my evening is going to get even more interesting. Bennett is deploying the F.M.E.’s in response. I’m to report immediately. You able to look after this one for me Merle?”
”Sure” the strawberry blonde responded. ”Shouldn’t be too much of a problem."
”Great!, Morgan I'm going to need you to make a detour. F.M.E. Headquarters right away if you don't mind.”
The driver responded in kind. Keiko gazed mindlessly out the window mesmerized by the passing light poles as they traveled east down Morrison towards their new destination when something unexpected caught her attention.
”STOP THE CAR!” she shouted shattering the silence and capturing the attention of all those present.
”Don’t throw up in my cab!” exclaimed the driver in response as he abruptly pulled the yellow checkered vehicle to the curb rolling and lowered the passenger side back window.
”I’m not going to be sick you fool.” The inebriated occupant remarked. ”Back up. Back up!”
"Are you nuts lady?"" Morgan replied.
”There!” LOOK!! ”She exclaimed excitedly pointing down toward an isolated alleyway. The driver brought the reversing vehicle to a screeching halt. What the others witnessed was truly astounding. A naked, malnourished, average height individual whose skin emitted a pale sickly yellow iridescent glow was digging through a dumpster.
”Looks like your paranoid obsession with this glowing Consumer of yours has finally bore fruit.”Maseko confirmed as her sister opened the passenger side door and spilled out onto the pavement.
"Keiko! Get back here!" Merle pleaded.
“Dispatch, this…. is Officer….. Hyogo K. Badge #....43…5…..1…3. Visual…. on Consumer at large. Suspect considered hostile…. and dangerous. Requesting back-up at………” She fumbled to find the words.
”Where the hell are we?” She queried.
”Morrison at Hargraves” Merle replied.
”Alley…..Morison and Hargraves” Keiko repetitiously slurred to dispatch.
”Mase?”
”I can try sis but we’re likely not going to get any help from the F.M.E. at the moment as all available units have been dispatched to District Zero to deal with the Purist Crisis that’s escalating. Looks like we may be on our own on this one.”
”You've got to be kidding me” Keiko responded in frustration. ”Dispatch, I need an E.T.A. on that backup!”

The dispatcher listened to the slurred report of the glowing Consumer and almost didn't take it seriously.
"Negative. ETA not available, we have another situation arising. All FME units and squads are occupied. We can send a standard patrol car your way soon. What is the threat level? Is your suspect dangerous? Are there any civilians there that are currently in immediate danger?" The dispatcher asked.
Merle looked from Keiko then at the Glowing Consumer. It was still casually digging through the garbage looking for food, it wasn't actually bothering anyone a this very moment. A worried frown creased her brow as she looked to Maseko and Keiko and shook her head. The glowing Consumer was dangerous, but convincing them that it was dangerous at this very moment would be a challenge.
"If we do this, we won't have any help... I'm with you if you go. Your limitations to not use a weapon doesn't fall on me and Maseko, we can say we were near the scene and responded to the call. I've got your back. It doesn't seem to know we're here yet. Your call..." Merle said.
As if she jinxed them, the glowing Consumer slowly straightened up from the garbage can and turned to face the taxi car. It's eyes glowing yellow as it stared at them. The taxi driver let off a whimper.
"It's looking at us! I don't get paid enough for this! We have to get outta here!" The driver cried as he put the car back into drive to prepare to flee the scene.
If you have any questions you can Email me at: fgheroes@yahoo.com
”Is the suspect dangerous?!” Keiko responded indignantly. ”This is the bastard that tossed me around like a rag doll ripping my arm off. Is that dangerous enough for you. Carlyle promised me back-up!”
”All available units are currently occupied” The dispatcher reiterated.
"If we do this, we won't have any help...” Merle affirmed. ” I'm with you if you go. Despite the offer, Keiko still felt alone and helpless. And then, the glowing Consumer slowly straightened up from the garbage can and turned to face the taxi car. It's piercing eyes staring back at them.
Morgan was the first to respond. "It's looking at us! I don't get paid enough for this! We have to get outta here!" The driver cried as he forced the car into drive.
”Get in!” The group asserted harmoniously.
”I’m not going anywhere.” The stubborn drunk asserted making her way to her feet.
Merle begged. ”Don’t leave her!
Maseko stated.”There’s a civilian present. We have to think of his safety.”
”I am!” Kieko shouted reaching into the cab. ”You have a gun stashed away in this glove box Morgan?”
”No guns Kieko you’re drunk.” Maseko interjected.
”Drunk or not I’m likely still a better shot than him.”
”NO GUNS!” Maseko insisted slapping her sister's hand away from the glove box.
”Even civilian have the right to defend themselves” Keiko protested.
”True, but not to discharge a weapon in public, and definitely not inebriated.” Merle chirped.
”Face it Kei, we may have to chase down your demon another day. Right now I need you back into this vehicle. If the thing attacks we’ll at least have a chance to defend ourselves from a secured position while we way our options. We’ll hold out here as long as possible to see if backup does arrive.”
Despite the reasoning provided, Keiko held her ground. She was frustrated. She was angry. And with each passing moment these emotions intensified. Soon she began pacing like a caged animal on display for the glowing Consumer that sat stoically watching her every move. It seemed like an eternity. The electronic clock in her brain dictated otherwise.
”YOU REMEMBER ME?!” She eventually shouted waving her mechanical fist indignantly in the direction of her oppressor. ”COME ON YOU BASTARD! FINISH WHAT YOU STARTED! WHAT AE YOU WAITING FOR?!
Keiko bent down picking up a hardball sized stone and launched the projectile angrily toward her adversary. The stone she threw in frustration fell well short of the intended mark rolling harmlessly at the feet of faintly glowing humanoid figure hunched in front of the green metal dumpster.
The Consumer picked up the object, holding it delicately in the long slender clawed digits of his right hand. He seemed to study and sniff it momentarily before cupping the stone in both hands in front of him. The Consumer’s hands began to glow intensely throwing off a great light that illuminated the once dimly lit alley. A strange high pitched frequency well beyond normal human recognition was caught by the receptors of Keiko’s cybernetically augmented ear. It was like nails on a chalk board as the enhanced female tried desperately to electronically adjust the volume to the incoming sound.
Soon the inorganic keepsake glowed intensely within the cupped palms of the monstrous beast. The Consumer stood slowly, tilting its head from side to side as a prize fighter loosening before a bout and released a bellowing roar.
”Enough Bravado sis time to get your ass back in here dammit.” Maseko cautioned now on high alert to the escalation.
"Should have given me that gun when I asked for it." She retorted.
”Please.” Pleaded Merle readying her weapon ”Fight this battle another day.”
(Who's in control? 73... The glowing man stays in control! Does he flee? 41... he stands his ground!))
The glowing man began walking closer, still holding the glowing rock in his hands. The Consumer continued to make strange growling sounds, then he extended his hands outwards as if offering the rock as a gift, slowly walking closer towards Keiko. The rock began to glow brighter and brighter, and the Consumer cupped the rock in his hands tightly until the bright vibrant light subsided to a dull glow in the Consumer's hands.
Once satisfied with the outcome, he casually tossed the rock back on the ground and it rolled down hill towards Keiko's feet until the glowing object rolled harmlessly to a stop. Morgan the taxi driver leaned his head out the window to look at it. "That is creepy! Let's go! Who knows what will happen if it touches you! This entire area could be a hazmat zone fill with radiation!" He cried.
And without warning, there was a loud BANG!.
The rock suddenly began to glow brightly until it exploded into a violent burst of light that filled the entire alleyway, blinding all those that were looking at it. The Consumer let off a terrifying roar as he crouched down on all fours as if he were about to charge forward and take off running.
((Flash bang rock: 54+10(Smoke bang acy stats) -20 (short rng feet accuracy) = 44 accuracy. If it successfully blinds targets -20 ACY and EVS to all enemy targets within short range for two rounds.))

((Roll to avoid effect: Morgan, Mase, Merle 50+ Keiko 70+(intoxication) D100 rolls = 70, 7, 21, 59)) Morgan avoids effect. I despise this die log sometimes but it does make life interesting.
The glowing man growled indistinctly proceeded to come close before casually tossing the rock back towards the cab. Morgan his head out the window "That is creepy! Let's go! Who knows what will happen if it touches you! This entire area could be a hazmat zone fill with radiation!" He cried.
And without warning, there was a loud BANG! And a violent burst of light filled the entire alleyway.
Keiko covered her ears and closed her eyes ducking behind the cab for cover but due to her inebriated state her natural reflexes failed to save her. The brilliant flash had done its damage momentarily blinding the officer of the law. Kieko fought through the massive white blur she was experiencing in an effort to regain a visual on the suspect. Once again failing to achieve any amount of success.
”Anyone with a visual on that Thing!” she shouted.
”Negative.” came the reply from her fellow officers.
Morgan responded nervously. ”I…I see him.. He’s crouched on all fours looking like he’s ready to pounce.”
”Where’s that damn back up!” Keiko moaned impatiently.
((The Glowing man Control roll: 33 = Failed... Energy discharge attack accuracy 95+20 SP-10 ACY Body =105 Morgan Flees 31... Nope!))
The Consumer began to shake and quiver on the ground as if it were in pain. He let off a loud howl and began to glow brighter, just like the rock had done moments before. Morgan the taxi driver began to panic, he put the car into drive and attempted to drive away, but the car shut off on him. He turned the key repeatedly to get the car to start to leave, but the engine wouldn't turn over. "Come on! COME ON!!! We need to leave now! I think it's going to explode!" the Taxi driver warned.
The Consumer slowly began to crawl closer, making strange howling and growling sounds. He stretched his hand out towards Keiko as if asking for help, staring her in the eyes, rather she could see the gesture or not was unknown since she was just blinded moments before.
The Consumer seemed to clam down and the glow faded slightly, then just like the rock, the Consumer flashed, let off a roar of pain as he stretched and arched his back. He shot off a large discharge of energy that sent out a shockwave of power in all directions, knocking back anything caught in the powerful energy blast. The garbage cans were burned and tossed aside, the brick walls charred, and the windows to the taxi blew out and shattered from the force.

((Maseko suppression fire- roll = 06- 20 (flash)-20 EVS +5 short range rycroft special-((this dice log sucks)) ((Merle suppression fire- roll=56- 20 (flash)-20 EVS +5 short range rycroft special well still not stellar but it is an improvement)) -----------
"Come on! COME ON!!! We need to leave now!." the Taxi driver cautioned excitedly.
The Consumer slowly began to crawl closer, making strange howling and growling sounds The glowing man crawled closer, stretching his hand out towards Keiko as if asking for help. The gesture went unnoticed with many of the group desperately trying to regain their vision after the brilliant flash previously emitted by the exploding stone.
the shrill high pitch dissonance once again was detected by her cybernetic hearing. "Record audio" She commanded. If previous experience was any indication something adverse was about to happen.
As the glow subsided momentarily, Merle did manage to discern the blurred silhouette of the menace as the Consumer let of an agonizing roar of discomfort as he stretched out his limbs and arched his back shooting off a large discharge of energy from its chest. The powerful shockwave emitted from his pulsating form effortlessly pushing the taxi cab along with its occupants aside blowing out the windows. Keiko who had been crouched near the passenger side front wheel was unceremoniously knocked aside by the pivoting vehicle exposing the unarmed officer who now found herself without the benefit of cover.
Both Merle and Maseko opened up fire attempting to put down enough suppression fire to allow their vulnerable companion to retreat. ”Fall back Keiko. This is futile!” Maseko commanded continuing to reign down fire as best she could at the bellowing Consumer. ”We don’t have enough fire power to hold this up for long. It's too strong.”
Keiko realizing the tactical inadequacies of their current position as well the injuries already sustained at the hand of their adversary the off duty officer did as instructed this time and staggered haphazardly toward the cab which was now facing the opposite direction. It probably wasn’t the most direct route possible but it was the best she could manage under the circumstances. Morgan was still frantically trying to get the stalled vehicle running as she approached the rear door.
”Doesn’t seem like much of an escape plan.” Keiko commented sarcastically spilling into the vehicle. ”If Morgan doesn't get this buggy in motion we’re as good as fish in a barrel. Let’s hope our beastly fiend over there doesn’t have a hankering for sushi at the moment.”
