Hyogo Quintuplet's Apartment
You may use the apartment to keep items and food that you no longer wish to carry around and place them in your room. You may also use the apartment to rest and regain your strength.

“…..recent polls say that the people's minds are changing and that they would like to see the heroes be more active. 85% of the people say that they want to see more heroes on the streets, to make Osiris, a safer place..."
“Hummph!” Ayako snorted at the statistic, tossing the handful of papers she held onto the coffee table in disgust. “It’s no wonder the people are turning to private protection. Have you seen what the Orirus Police Department is offering its recruits? Seriously, we are to put our lives on the line for $150 a day plus some meager incentive bonus without even a stick. Cheap bastards expect you to get shot up so they supplement the ‘city's finest’ with stimpacks instead of giving them something to defend with. Crime rates are up because the police force is inadequately equipped to handle these armed menaces. Wave that pen and notepad at them boys....It's the only weapon we can issue. Heck, they might as well just send us out with a toe tag carrying our own cardboard box.”
“Lighten up Ayako, nobody said they were going to open the vaults and throw money at us when we transferred from Tokyo. They did assume the initial fee for the apartment.Regardless of what we’re given we can still make a difference.”
“It would be nice to point something a little more intimidating than this peashooter I’m carrying but, I’m with Maseko on this one. We are not without resources. Strength in numbers right sisters?”
“Yeah,” Atsuko hesitantly agreed. “Too bad we can’t hold the formation for more than a minute before falling apart.”
“Give it time, just give it time.” Kameko muttered discretely among the others adjusting the white porcelain mask upon her face. “Tonight we test the theory. Just remember Keiko, Rubber ammo. Armed or not we are administrators of the law not above it.
The quints were gathered around the smallish white kitchen table for an evening meal. It was the first time in several weeks since the outbreak they had participated in the event.
”We should do this more often.” Maseko commented scooping a large helping of fried rice into her bowl with her chop sticks.
Keiko chimed in sarcastically.”Yeah, it would be great opportunity to keep connected.”
”Speaking missed connections.” Atsuko commented. ”Clara mentioned you and Kameko dropped by the office this morning. Sorry I missed you."
”Yeah, Things were a little crazy with all the commotion involving that fella killed in the street. The killer was perched on our roof top?” Maseko inquired.
”You knew. Didn’t you?” Keiko exclaimed figuring out the deception. ”YOU ALL KNEW!”
Maseko sheepishly lowered her head nodding in agreement. ”We were just trying not to influence your decision. So you’re going to try your hand at investigation? How did it go? Any leads?”Maseko interjected trying to ease the blow.It failed.
”Ask Kame."Keiko snapped. ”It would seem my opinion doesn’t seem to carry much weight anyways.” She abruptly pushed her chair away from the table and stood up to throw her utensils toward her setting. ” I’ve lost my appetite. I’m going to the roof.”
The dark haired female stormed off as her siblings stared on in amazement.
”Still has her temper” Kameko commented.
”I’ll go try to talk some sense into her.” Maseko commented wiping her mouth as she prepared to intervene.
”It’s ok Mase. I’ve got this. If we’re going to work together I’m going to have to find a way to smooth this over myself.”Kameko insisted chasing after her sibling.

”You’ve got to stop doing that!”Kame proclaimed as she arrived on the roof top. The proclamation wasn’t directed so much as to Keiko’s abrupt departure moments earlier but to the sniper’s position at the edge of the building peering through a gun scope attached to a SAR-15 assault rifle she had recovered during the outbreak looking to the streets below. ”Just because you have a permit to carry that thing doesn’t give you the right to wave it around in public. We’ve talked about this!”Kameko exclaimed.
”I see things better this way.” Kei responded dryly.
”You’ve got to give this up sis.”
”It’s out there somewhere”
”You don’t know that Kei”
”I can feel it. Just leave me alone!”
”Is this why you became sofixated so quickly on the Consumer angle today?”
Keiko looked up from the scope and turned to her attention to her sibling.
”I still see it Kame .Every time I close my eyes, I’m back there with it. Face to face with that yellow eyed demon. Its blood stained maw grinning at me as it tossed me around and ripped off my arm.”
”It's only been a few months. Given what’s happened, who can blame you. We’re here for you sis but THIS fixation…….”
”I just want it to end.” Keiko remarked as tears began to well up in her eyes. ”Put a bullet, or three or four, right between the yellow eyes of that smug smiling blood drenched son of a B*** and end it.”
”And that’s exactly the reason why you shouldn’t be up here off duty huddled over that firearm. It isn't good for you. I don’t think your wrong in all this Keiko. I just need to know if you can be objective enough when our cases involve the infected. Maybe the Vaiacom case is a bad idea given the connection.
”I’ll be fine.” Keiko replied laying the SAR-15 aside.
"I know sis. It’s not their fault you know. If things had transpired a little differently on that roof top you may well have been infected as well.”
”Promise me you will put a bullet in my brainpan if that nightmare EVER comes about.”
”Let’s hope it never comes to that. Come on Kei, let’s get some sleep. We’ve got a big day ahead of us tomorrow.”
"What made tomorrow any different? Keiko deliberated.
”I called Riley and got him to put a list together of those who had signed up for the trials." Kameko clarified noting the puzzled look that embraced her sister's face. "It took a little persuasion to get him to see past the doctor/ patient confidentiality defence. But, eventually he granted OUR request. We should have the list first thing in the morning along with our other requests. Maybe we can start to narrow the field and gain some momentum on this case.” ”We’re also going to have to look into getting you a telescope or something. At least then people will only think you’re some sort of sick peeper instead of a deranged killer robot.”
”Huh, maybe I should get myself one of those telescopic eye replacements if we drop by Namtouch Automations tomorrow. I’m sure Aya can hook me up with something fine.
”Let’s not get carried away sis. You’re already enough of a freak without adding to the mix.”
”Well then, maybe we should get you hooked up with something special.”
"Not happening anytime soon sis"Kameko mused. "Why mess with perfection"
"You sound like one of those purists."
"Well, if that were the case I might just be forced to disown you. Wouldn't I? Think of how much more peaceful my life would be."
Kameko rose long before the rising sun only to find her sibling and partner already dressed in uniform and waiting patiently at the kitchen counter. Keiko was notorious for having to be dragged out of bed of late and to be found intently watching the early morning news while she finished off the remainder of her cream cheese covered cinnamon bagel was somewhat disturbing. ”What have you done with my sister?” Kameko mocked grabbing her favorite mug.
”Coffee’s still warm.” She replied cheerfully taking her plate to the dishwasher.
”Seriously sis. What’s up?”
”I’m going to give this a chance. Like you said. With my augmentations I have a leg up on this detective thing. If I put my mind to it I might just like it. I figure we’ll stop by the precinct pick up those reports and see if the coroner has found anything of interest. Should give Mr. Riley plenty of time to put that list together.”
”Well then,” Kameko expressed. ”Sounds like you’re eager to get rolling. Let me fill my travel mug and we’ll be on our way.”

Wiping the fog in a quick‘s’-shaped motion from the mirror of the steam filled bathroom Keiko looked intensely at the despicable likeness that stared back at her from the reflection. The only portion remaining of the original locks was the long tuft of jet black hair streaked with brilliant pink highlights that stretched down the right cheek to rest upon the pale olive skin at her shoulder just above her clavicle. In stark contrast, the cybernetic ear protruded from closely shaved head on the left side of her skull where her thick black mane once grew complete.
The augmentation itself was barely recognizable. A masterful scientific recreation having more benefits than faults. Despite the walls of her barren domicile located on the ninth floor or the Soaring Heights Apartment Complex she was able to make out the faint crescendo of cheers that signaled the New Year had arrived.
She reached up gently poked at the dark bags that nestled below her chocolate brown eyes with the metallic digit of her cybernetic limb. TOO many sleepless nights. For many the New Year brought with it hope. But, to the youthful Asian female the image in the mirror was only a reminder of what the growing majority of Osiris were beginning to believe. A freak to be shunned. Incensed at what she had become, she lashed out with her right fist smashing a deep webbed crater into the thick reflective door of what use to be face to the bathroom medicine cabinet.
It was a year she would just as soon forget. It marked the catastrophic injury to Ayako at the hands of the exploding man that all but took her sister’s life and brought the quintuplets to this wretched city. They had barely had a chance to become acquainted with their new precinct before disaster struck again. Gang riots, followed with the violent tremors that brought down the walls that contained the crazed subjects of a genetic experiment gone awry to run amuck among the Osiris population. It was amidst that chaos that Keiko received the injuries that now branded her less than human. If it wasn’t for the heroics of her rival sibling, Maseko, perhaps her life would have ended that night at the hands of a luminous Consumer.
The citizens prevailed and that triumph brought with the victory second chances and promise as the “fallen” city began to rebuild from the ground up. A “rebirth” that brought with it a new, higher ranking position that normally would have taken years to achieve, made possible by the great attrition of the O.P.D. suffered during outbreak. That optimism within Keiko was quickly shattered as she endured psychological suffering and dismay, at the hands of her new superior officer, Chief Detective Carlyle. Sexual advances; harassment; unwilling to participate in his perversions she soon found herself riding the pines, far removed from any investigations and under his ever watchful eye. Few chose to believe or turned a blind eye fearing repercussions of their own. Who knew how deep the corruption ran. The fraternity of those sworn to serve and protect had become perverse as the city it served.
With the recent injuries sustained by her sibling and partner, Keiko now found herself very much alone in the fight although not totally powerless …. The police radio channeled through her augmentation was eerily quiet at the moment apart from the normal New Year’s Eve nuisances. Keiko raised the thin white porcelain-like geisha mask adjusting it to fit comfortably concealing her identity. If she couldn’t serve effectively under the badge she wore, she would take to the streets and do what she could within the confines of the law to make a difference. One crime at a time.

Keiko was still steaming from the indifference she had received from her former co-workers. Her career was in jeopardy. Judgement had already been passed. If it wasn’t enough to be the recipient of Carlyle’s beratings now she must suffer the presumptuous opinions of her peers as well. She was alone.
Keiko promptly made her way to her bedroom. Digging out the large storage chest at the bottom of her closet where she stored a well-kept relic of her past; a HSR-25 that had belonged to her great grandfather. A bulky weapon whose firepower made popular during WWIII and its long range capabilities made it the perfect weapon to stay out of sight.
As Hydra instructors had so aptly put it. 'You can’t retaliate against what you can’t see’ Keiko was counting on that mantra as she prepared to hunt the beast.
Along with the weapon she removed her combat gear, a tactical gun scope, sniper rifle tripod, and several rounds of high caliber armor piercing rounds. She was headed to the rooftop armed for bear. She vowed she wouldn’t make the same mistake If she was rewarded with another opportunity to take down the glowing man.
