Mabe if Nathan continues to be a pest Bernie will have to kick his ass.
That sounds like a request! He accepts.
Guess he wouldn't necessarily see Bernie order his refill while Garett was on the floor.
And I didn't tell that Garrett refilled Bernard's glass of scotch with Bianca and Carson, so I just gave a brief note in Nathan's post.
The bartender finally returned and started refilling drinks for those who asked for it, and Nathan raised a hand to get his attention.
Now I just need Naida to arrive to get that Datastick and hand it over to Wavelink so that she can pull the secret information off of it. I was tempted to have Nathan bring the laptop into the club and work on opening the files, but that didn't seem wise...

Ash just wants to see me get turfed from the club so he isn't held accountable. Besides if I kick Nathan's ass what chance do I have of sweet talking the hot looking sibling when she arrives?

If Mister Bernard wants to hang out with Nathan and be his buddy, that's fine with me. He won't be a Lloyd, but I'm sure he can find ways to annoy Bernard. Or Bernard could always follow Carson to the VIP room and smash his forehead up to the wall to try and read their thoughts that way. He might get a few odd stares, but it might be worth it...
EDIT: I was going to wait a bit, but I decided to go ahead and bring Naida to the club. I tried to make it like she found Nate shortly after Bernard asked him what his problem was. In other words, she kind of interrupted before Bernard could reply. I'm not sure how long it will take for Carson and Bianca to finish talking as well as Naida and Wavelink, so I decided to get things moving before the week ends.

EDIT:Work has been crazy. It has been hard enough to take the time for a pee break let alone jot down a coherent thought or two. I shall return! As Bernard is primarily an observer at the moment there is little for him to do until the players in this game of charades ante up and divulge their secrets.

Can't even pee? What madness! Take your time with work, there is no rush to post. Since it is just the two of us playing we can always slow down time even more when things in real life gets crazy. Just let me know.
If Bernard skips out on following Carson and Bianca, I was going to skip writing their part and just have them come back out of the VIP room for him to pluck at their thoughts. But if he does follow, then that changes things a bit.
Wavelink and Naida's conversation should be short since Naida is attempting to join the Aces and is still a new recruit, not much to say there. I'll wait to see what Mister Bernard thinks and what he decides to do before my next post. But again, no rush.

Whew. I'm getting around to making my posts now. Mister Bernard is now annoying Nathan... oh joy! Looks like they'll be taking turns bugging each other. I don't think they will be best buddies after all.
And I read your PM about the brothers and their fusion ability. I know you said it would combine their HP, but would it also combine their SP? that would be a bit ridiculous. A bit more info on their powers and combined stat would be helpful. How you described it everything makes sense, so I know what you mean about the idea you have. I was just curious about their combined overall power level.
EDIT: Scrap most of the above. I reread your PM. So what if they get the HP bonus and attack/defense bonus and all those other perks when combined, but we use their SP in a different way? What if they still have the 40 SP counter, but when they combine together it works as a countdown so that they can't stay in that state forever. It will take 5 SP per turn for as long as they are combined, giving them about 8 turns of transformation. When the fusion ends, they go back to their normal form, but without any energy (meaning they need to recharge with Stims to continue fighting separately). When they aren't combined their powers will work just like any other character. Does that make sense?
(I'm now having thoughts about Captain Planet...)

Kind of the way I saw the SP working. I had thought the only thing the SP counter would effect was the length they could stay in the super form. No counter no Glue to hold the cohesion together. The max SP they could attain was 20 for a singular ability eventually lasting twenty turns before being thrust apart. I'm still playing with just what happens to the equipment upon separation. I really don't want them to wind up with nothing upon separation but I don't think I really want the item simply being duplicated as they split either. One brother will likely be a paramedic, one a member of the OPD, perhaps a firefighter. Civil servants the central idea.
EDIT: Greasing the barkeep's palm: $100 The look on Nathan's face: PRICELESS!!!

I'm going to throw an idea out real fast about the items duplicating. What if one person wears one item each and when they combine it makes up a set. Such as: One person has boots, the other has gloves, the other has armor, ETC. They combine to make up the full set of equipment, and when they separate the items go back to their original owners... more or less.
To be honest, I'm not very familiar with this power type. I might go do some further research on other heroes later. Might inspire me with some new ideas.
EDIT: Nathan got lucky... but how long will it last? Garrett is playing the devil's advocate today... He now holds all the cards in his hands. Care to sweeten the deal?

Works for armor but really doesn't solve the weapon aspect. With more thought it will come together.
I figured Nathan would try to buy his way out. I would have done the same thing. Bernard will expose the fraud who promises money that is not his to begin with. I can't cover both their resourses with what I'm carrying. But I'm sure Bernard could convince Carson to back him in this little game of one upmanship
If I win I get the laptop and the girl If Nathan's going to bluff he better have the balls to back it up!
